Meet the recipients of the Caress • IFWOC COVID-19 Grant Program

IFundWomen of Color was created with our founding partner Caress to help diverse entrepreneurs bring their dreams into reality through raising capital via crowdfunding and providing grants, coaching, and the connections needed to launch and grow successful businesses.

Caress is saddened by the severe impact that COVID-19 is wreaking on communities and on small businesses and entrepreneurs. They recognize that in this critical time, small businesses are struggling immensely and the disadvantages that women of color entrepreneurs face are only growing.  As a founding partner of IFundWomen of Color, Caress is proud to be supporting 200 women of color owned small businesses with $500,000 in grants for COVID-19 relief.

Meet this week's Caress • IFundWomen of Color COVID-19 grant recipients:

Obia Ewah

OBIA Naturals is focused on producing vegan, pH balanced, non-toxic hair and body care products that offer a natural alternative to conscientious consumers. Their herbal based vegan products do not contain: mineral oil, sulfates, petroleum, alcohol, silicones, honey, beeswax, goat’s milk or any animal protein.

conditionHER helps women who struggle with feminine odor get pH balanced while clearing ingrown hair issues and minimizing chafing and skin irritation after waxing, lasering, sugaring or shaving.

Carla Halls

The Cactus Beauty Bar creates natural products to fulfill self-care needs such as massages, facials, herbal teas, & hydro colonics.

Onamma Okoye
Founder of St. Eden

St. Eden fills a critical void in the marketplace, by taking away the guesswork for consumers seeking non-toxic beauty products. Women who often review multiple sources to discern which brands are really safe, can now have a one stop shop that they trust for clean beauty.

SoulSister: Sisters Supporting Sisters, Inc. aims to bring self-love, soul healing, and confidence to young girls, women, and families. The mission is to raise self-awareness, cultivate, and facilitate a culture of restoration and rehabilitation to the soul of women who have suffered extremely hard challenges with their self-esteem and in life and who desire a strong and supportive group of supportive sisters.
