Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to develop and execute a solid testing strategy for ensuring product quality. QA Associate responsibilities include designing and implementing tests & testing suites to test our products across multiple devices and environments. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)

The QA associate role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs while being cost-effective. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, that would be a huge plus.

Ultimately, you should monitor software development stages to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
MUST-HAVES
  • 3-5 years experience in software quality assurance
  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes; experience with Drupal is a plus.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

Finance and Operations Manager

As IFundWomen’s Finance & Operations Manager you will influence all IFundWomen strategic initiatives and directly support the CEO, Karen Cahn. You’ll drive financial forecasting, reporting, and investor material development. In this role, you’ll be asked to build relationships with employees and leaders across all functions and help the teams operate efficiently and with increased productivity. We’re looking for a hands-on team player who is excited to wear a number of different hats on the dynamic and fun IFW team!

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, identify growth areas, and recommend solutions for improvement
  • Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of strategic operational performance goals and long-term operational plans
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
  • Create strong processes that create efficiency for our leadership team and the rest of the company 
  • Continually drive process improvement, automation, and best practices throughout all company operations at IFundWomen
  • Support all IFundWomen investor relations activities including deck content creation, fundraising, and due diligence efforts
  • Drive financial reporting and planning including cash management, sales forecasting, and unit economics modeling
  • Assist with other finance and operations priorities including legal, compliance, HR and accounting initiatives, customer contract drafting.
MUST-HAVES
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, passion for finance and operations, strong work ethic
  • Fluent in finance and exceptional at turning data into information + outstanding communication skills and ability to explain complex information succinctly
  • Experience driving operational and process improvements at a growing startup
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Economics
  • 5+ years of experience in business operations and/or finance operations. 
  • Ability to solve complex problems and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Bias for action and ability to make decisions in the face of uncertainty
  • Analytical orientation and ability to structure your work
  • Team player with the ability to make those around you successful
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
