Software Engineer

IFundWomen seeks a Software Engineer who wants to use their powers for good. You will be responsible for the implementation, design, development, of the various IFundWomen products and features. We love rapid-prototyping and working across multiple platforms, infrastructures, and disciplines to find the right mix for us. You will be working closely with the Product, Sales, Marketing or Partnerships teams depending on the project. 

The role will report to our Head of Engineering.


  • Work closely with the Product team to deliver quality features in high-quality code and best practices

  • Instrument strong coding best practices, guidelines, and standards throughout the team

  • Ensure that all code is clearly tested from end-to-end

  • Flexibility and comfort across stacks should allow you to help solve issues at all levels, including code modularity and reuse.

  • Work comfortably across multiple levels of the Development stack

  • Ability to ship high quality, well-tested code

  • 3+Years of developing Web Products, SaaS, or equivalent

  • Knowledge in JavaScript & PHP

  • Database knowledge: MySQL, PostGREs, BigTable, etc

  • Can work in a fast-paced environment

  • Understanding of SOA, RESTful APIs, and micro-services

  • Understanding of Cloud Computing, Containers, CI/CD, Deployments, preferably on Google Cloud Platform

  • Understanding of the Drupal CMS system including custom module and theme development

  • Has a good understanding of operational issues, load balancing, cost, performance, etc. 

  • Has worked in the Agile Framework (Scrum, Kanban, etc)


Spanish-speaking startup coach

IFundWomen seeks a person passionate about entrepreneurship to become an iFundWomen Startup Coach. As a Startup Coach, you are responsible for recruiting and launching startups on iFundWomen. This role requires inherent sales and marketing skills, a positive attitude and a love for helping people get their businesses and passions off the ground. This person will have a deep understanding of the product value and will help customers experience impactful moments as quickly as possible.

The role will report to our Head of Partnerships.

  • Help the team achieve the company’s KPI targets: 1) funding volume 2) revenue 3) happy customers.

  • Find, recruit, and coach entrepreneurs to the IFundWomen platform.

  • Encourage, support, and guide entrepreneurs through IFundWomen’s offerings to best meet their startup and funding goals.

  • Host workshops, webinars, and educational sessions to educate entrepreneurs on the basics of startup funding and growing your business.

  • Represent IFundWomen at industry conferences, on panels, leading workshops, running pitch competitions, and generally encouraging the use of IFundWomen’s products and services.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a fluent Spanish-speaker.

  • Must be super-connected in the entrepreneurship space.

  • Must be a passionate supporter of all things entrepreneurship and women-led startups.

  • Must have worked in a sales organization, be comfortable with a revenue goal, and have experience with inbound and outbound sales & marketing.

  • Must love public speaking, teaching workshops, meeting new people, empowering entrepreneurs.

  • Must have a good understanding of the venture funding ecosystem, and have experience with crowdfunding, as a user and as a backer.

  • Must be a digital native, and very comfortable using the following: Google Apps, Slack, Facebook, Instagram, MailChimp, and other web apps.

  • A team-player attitude, and excitement about working at a startup.

  • Outstanding cross-group collaboration, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem-solving and presentation skills are required.

  • Be able to work independently and remotely, if needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Has experience starting up a business or side project.

  • Has crowdfunded before

  • Experience in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

  • Deep level of experience in social content creation and influence.

  • Access and memberships to coworking and community spaces.
