The Problem
Massive inefficiency and crises like COVID-19, natural weather disasters and other gaps in health and human services have caused REAL MAJOR PROBLEMS for citizens around the world.
In the last few years, we have had an unprecedented number of crises and governments cannot move fast enough to solve key new problems such as those generated by the COVID-19 crisis and other natural disasters. Traditional websites and mobile apps technologies also don’t solve these crises very well both in the public AND private sector. There needs to be a new technology infrastructure for apps for crises.
How Data 360 is Helping
Data 360 is working with community, business and government partners to find new and sustainable, data-driven methods to help those who need resources from crises and natural disasters starting with COVID-19.
To reach our goals, Data 360 using these funds hire key talent and acquire more technology infrastructure to expand its pool of partnerships with local governments, nonprofits and social enterprises and develop desktop, mobile apps and innovation training in each of the above areas.
Using the power of big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning, this new technology infrastructure will match individuals in crisis based on behavioral information, demographic information, centrality, and distance to an available resources they need through an automatic alert system.
Why COVID-19 Search
COVID-19 Search is designed to provide users with new opportunities and resources for crises related to the user and their family's need for help with:
- Jobs
- Education
- Health
- Emergency Resources
- Centralized Databases (versus paper directories)
- Government Innovation
We not only have a lot of crises in the world, but we also have a lack of the distribution of information on how to solve the problems that result from each crisis.
Data 360 is uniquely positioned to do this work because we have spent 20+ years in media and tech managing and teaching business leaders how to bring their visions to life with the power of advanced technologies at Verizon, Twitter, Facebook, Pimco and many others.
The primary advantages of using the COVID-19 Search are:
- Saving time sifting through static directories and mountains of links
- Getting highly personalized recommendations for the exact help you need
- Preventing information overwhelm causing paralysis

We are providing desktop applications for government agencies, non-profits and services to quickly find resources for people. |
We are dedicated to providing a wide variety of mobile apps for users to find help at the push of a button and to contact online support to be guided to solutions. |
We arrange professional development program to support and train teachers to provide additional resources and equipment to improve education. |
Wait Isn’t the COVID-19 Crisis over now that we have vaccines?
No, not even close!!!!
The tax base for local governments has been decimated!!! And the U.S. Congress has given some money for immediate issues like vaccine distribution and eviction help, but there are thousands of other resulting crises that still need to be handled.
For our first project, we are looking to tie our apps into the new Los Angeles County 9-8-8 system and many others as quickly as possible.
As of July 2021, Los Angeles County is leading some initiatives around crisis response and behavioral health. Individuals in LA County experiencing a health and human services crisis, especially related to mental health, substance use, or suicide, ought to receive an urgent and high-quality response commensurate with what they would receive via the 9-1-1 system for a physical health or public safety related emergency.
The upcoming 9-8-8 number for behavioral health emergency response promises to elevate behavioral health crisis/emergency services in this way, but there remains much work to be done to add needed capacity of these services, improve the coordination of crisis calls, field responses, and crisis facility care, and ensure that the 9-8-8 system is connected to and appropriately coordinated with the 9-1-1 system as needed. Most critically, this work needs to explicitly address how current system gaps have resulted in disproportionate impacts on communities of color and the LGBTQ community, including an over-representation of individuals with mental health and substance use needs from these communities..
OUR BIG IDEA AND THE DETAILS
COVID-19 Search is the first phase to build a broader search engine to help anyone using smart matching technology with automated alerts for resources to help with any kind of crisis. COVID-19 Search is the first step to our planet learning how to build a sustainable future for our society using the power of technology.
Our proposed solution is to identify individuals who are in crisis and need help, develop alert systems to notify select individuals of the availability of help, and maximize/optimize resource information and delivery to as many people as possible via mobile, SMS and desktop apps.
The funding will go to the needed changes to our software infrastructure and staff to handle this new growing user base and customer basis using the tried and tested strategies that we have developed over our last 6 years in business.
HOW YOUR SUPPORT HELPS
We’re asking for help so that we can start a movement of app creators to help alleviate suffering from the COVID-19 crisis. If we do not reach our goal the movement to have app creators start to close the social, health and human services gap will not start and millions of people will continue to suffer without the right access to the data and resources to restore their livelihoods and health.
Our work has always centered around the people. This campaign is no different. We’ve made intentional efforts over the years to provide resources, services, and events that serve the people we reach and we want to continue that effort. This effort is bigger than us which is why we need you to join us in this fundraising effort.
We’re asking for a year’s worth of funding to support:
- Staff positions: Operations team will be hired internally but all other positions will be open to the public
- Operational costs: Improved software for growing memberships of crisis users and COVID-19 Search updates and management
- Consulting fees: To work with governments, nonprofits and social enterprises to enroll users in the program and help optimize our resource marketplace inclusion efforts and tools
- Deliverables: Raw cost involved with completing this crowdfunding project
Goals:
- Goal #1: $35,000 - To staff part time and consulting positions to build the first COVID-19 apps.
- Goal #2: $50,000 - Cover website, software, and insurance updates for COVID-19 apps.
- Goal #3: $100,000 - Our stretch goal for additional funds raised will be used to employ more community members to further support expanding operations.
HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT
We are so grateful for anyways you and your friends can support. Below are three options to get involved with this campaign.

RISKS AND CHALLENGES
Running and growing a startup is challenging, especially as a Women of Color, is always a challenge. We hope that your support can give us the foundation we need to meet the growing needs. There are always unexpected challenges and costs in new projects. We expect issues around language and accountability for partnerships and plan to incorporate options for transparency, review and feedback for the companies and entrepreneurs we feature so we can continue to reflect the needs of the community as best as possible. As we update our software and operations, timing for deliverables may also be a challenge. We’d also love to incorporate a commitment to annual donations for COVID-19 community support and other initiatives.
Sincerely - The Data 360 Team
P.S. Here’s more about us and some past activities that we’ve done working on this project over the last year if you want to see what we’ve been up to!
About Data 360
Data 360 helps companies build their communities and reduce their operational costs by up to 90% for managing people and processes using a proprietary combination of big data, AI and machine learning sold as a "platform as a service". Think e-Harmony for business or CRM/ERP 2.0.
Data 360 utilizes a unique data modeling, reporting and messaging solution powered by AI and machine learning to reduce the operations costs of our clients by up to 90%. Our customers use our platform as a service to augment or replace their existing SaaS, web, mobile or social media systems to save costs.
We're solving for the problems of inefficiency and high costs of human error and bias in the creation of web, SaaS and mobile based software systems for developing, growing and managing communities (including customers, employees, partners and collaborators).
Why What We Do Is Important
Reducing the high costs of acquiring and managing customers, employees and community manually or with older software paradigms or web-based technologies via digital platforms using big data, AI and machine learning is more relevant now than ever before with COVID-19. And, we help businesses of all sizes become more data driven and expand their capacity to create more competent knowledge workers in their organizations.
Data 360 uses the data from the Internet genome about the users along with AI and machine learning to gain very detailed insights on millions of users at a time that are not otherwise possible from existing self-service systems like Google, Salesforce and Facebook. Those insights are used to develop highly personalized and targeted workflows, user interfaces, communication strategies, imagery and SaaS systems.
Our approach is unique because we have a holistic approach to managing people using the power of big data, AI and machine learning by helping the machines track and manage the core behaviors and psychologies to create unique decentralized economic marketplaces which foster positive relationships building, community bonding, leadership development and resilience for change management.
