Born and raised in Philadelphia, Kate Diec spent the first part of her career in Finance and decided in 2011 to leave her corporate life behind and launch Vintage Vinyl Journals, a creative company upcycling vintage vinyl record albums into unique writing journals. Vintage Vinyl Journals have been sold nationally online and in many retail outlets. Currently they are sold as exclusive VIP concert merchandise for large musicians.
After Kate's daughter was born in 2013, and finding out shortly that she had food allergies, her career took an unexpected turn and she became immersed in the food allergy space. From starting a local non-profit food allergy group to launching her blog, Busy Bee Kate, to volunteering for food allergy events - she has become pillar in the food allergy community.
In 2015 Kate, her husband and daughter moved cross country to Northern California. During this time she has worked for a national food allergy non-profit helping with social media, recipes, project management, education, and more. Kate has continued to see a need for a safer, easier, and tastier cake option for those with food allergies and celiac disease.
Turning her passion for baking and supporting the food allergy community, Kate is now launching Kate’s Safe and Sweet Baking Box, the first baking box for children and families with food allergies, celiac disease, and special diets. Together we can help make life #SafeandSweet ❤️
