Project Description
Our board book set, We Are Little Feminists, features photos of real families, with poems to build vocabulary and family connection. We Are Little Feminists celebrates diversity in all forms through everyday topics: hair, family and movement!
WHY PHOTO BOOKS?
- Toddlers love photos of everyday kids!
- But most children's books don't represent our diverse world.
- Since we know so much about children's books, we decided to write what we know is missing.
WHAT AGES IS LITTLE FEMINIST FOR?
- Our board book set, We Are Little Feminists was written with 0-5-year-olds in mind.
- Our subscription book club serves 0-9-year-olds. We curate our monthly book picks based on age.
- Don't have a 0-9-year-old in your life? You can donate your Little Feminist reward to a classroom in need!

WHAT'S LITTLE FEMINIST ABOUT?
- Empathy will change the world, and we learn empathy from stories!
- All genders are brave AND kind. Books must encourage kiddos to be exactly who they are.
- Feminism is defined as the belief that all genders should have equal rights, which is why we should all be feminists!
TIMELINE
- October - November 2019 - Crowdfunding & Pre-sales
- December 2019 - All rewards (except our book series) ship
- March 2020 - Our books arrive from the printer, and we ship them to families, educators, and schools around the world!
RISKS & CHALLENGES
Our 3 board books are in final production and will be handed over to our US-based printer on November 4th, for delivery in late February / early March. We do ship our book subscriptions using USPS Media Mail, which can take anywhere from 2 to 21 days.

When will I receive my reward?
All rewards will be fulfilled in early December, with the exception of our board books. Our books are scheduled to print in December, and won't be arriving to our warehouse until late February, which means you'll receive your We Are Little Feminists board books in March - perfect timing for Women's History Month, right?!
Do you ship internationally?
For some rewards, YES we do ship internationally! Read the description for each reward, and add the appropriate amount ($9.95 for Canada or $14.95 for all other countries) to your pledge so we can pay for international shipping for your order. In order for your pledge to process correctly, don't enter your international shipping address - we'll get that later.
What does feminism mean to you?
We like the Merriam-Webster definition of feminism - "the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes," but we like to replace "sexes" with "all genders" because we believe gender is a spectrum.
