Voice Of Hair

VoiceOfHair provides haircare solutions for Black women experiencing hair loss, thinning and dry hair. With a platform of more than one million social media followers, VoiceOfHair is able to connect our vibrant customer community to hair inspiration, haircare tips and our branded products.  Our mission is to help women love what they see when they look in the mirror by creating naturally derived products that work together to promote longer, stronger, moisturized hair.

Over 22 million American women suffer from hair loss, which is often accompanied by thinning hair and dry hair. To address this problem, we launched our flagship product, the VoiceOfHair PureFix Hair Elixir. This oil blend contains 25 natural ingredients that promote stronger, longer and moisturized hair. It also has a curved dropper that allows for precise application to the areas that need it most.

The Visa IFW grant would help us do two very important things: launch our new products and build up inventory. VoiceOfHair is currently preparing to launch our highly anticipated shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner to go along with our hair elixir.  We would use $5K towards the purchase of packaging and raw materials for our first order. In addition, we would use the other $5K towards increasing our current inventory of our hair elixir, so that we can better respond to future increases in demand.

Our team is dedicated to the success of VoiceOfHair.  Brandelyn Green is the Founder & CEO. She is an engineer turned marketer who left corporate America after having worked for General Electric, P&G and ConAgra Foods in operations and brand management roles. Her expertise lies in brand building, supply chain management and project management.  Terrance L. Green, Ph.D serves as the Operations Director for Voice Of Hair.  He holds a doctorate in education and specializes in strategy implementation for the organization.
