Hi everyone! I wanted to give you an exciting update on where we are with the development of MoneyPOP โ and the amazing progress being made thanks to YOUR support. ๐
๐ง Iโve officially hired a UI/UX Designer!
Let me explain what that means: a UI (User Interface) / UX (User Experience) designer is someone who specializes in creating how an app looks (UI) and feels to use (UX). The designer helps bring the vision to life by making it visually beautiful, functional, and intuitive for users โ especially women in the beauty industry who deserve tech that truly serves them.
๐ฏ I decided to manage the project myself instead of hiring a full-blown tech company. Why? Because I want to stay close to the vision and lead with intention โ keeping every detail aligned with our mission. So I hired an incredibly talented contractor through Upwork with glowing reviews and a stunning portfolio. Best part? She's also a woman. ๐๐พ Working with her has been seamless and empowering โ a true creative partnership.
๐ฑ๏ธ In 3โ4 weeks, weโre expecting to finish the full design phase and have a clickable MVP (Minimum Viable Product). Whatโs that? It means the app wonโt be โliveโ yet, but youโll be able to click through and see exactly how it works โ like a visual demo that gives life to our idea.
๐ฉ๐พโ๐ป Next step: Iโm currently looking to hire a Front-End Engineer. This is the person who takes the designs and builds the actual app that users will interact with on their devices โ turning vision into reality.
๐ผ Also โ big news! I was recently interviewed for a pitch competition through NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners). If selected as a finalist, Iโll have the chance to receive $3,000 in funding to help push the app even further. Iโll know by the end of this week โ fingers crossed!
This journey is full of intention, strategy, and community โ and Iโm so grateful to have you on it with me. Iโll continue to keep you updated every step of the way.
With gratitude and momentum,
Janell ๐ซ
