Some of you may have recieved an email saying we are fully funded, but after checking the goal, realized it had been changed to $3500. So. What's happening?
We have been asked to participate in the iFundWomen pitch competition in Seattle in partnership with the Riveter, a coworking space for female entrepreneurs. We were chosen to participate because iFundWomen believes in our mission, and feel we stand a good chance of winning an extra $5000 for our company.
A condition of participation was to be fully funded, and we were asked to change our goal to reflect being fully funded. We recognized that we would not attain our $20,000 goal by the deadline, and we wanted to have this opportunity to pitch in front of a large audience of supporters and potential investors, so we decided to go ahead and change it so we could take advantage of this unexpected honor.
We are still raising money through our campaign, and we still need your help. We are far from our original goal of $20k, and we have great need of your continued support. Sometimes life throws you an opportunity you have to grab onto, and we decided to hold onto this one with both hands. We plan on winning that $5k, and coming back to you victorious.
