You all funded Itacate's crowdfunding campaign to 100% in TWO WEEKS!!
I'm overcome with gratitude and emotion for your generosity. I got the notice that we were fully funded yesterday during an REI accelerator office hours with the food buyer from REI and the owner of Intrinsic Provisions, Mark Boles. I started thinking about my journey so far and I had to turn off my camera because I got so emotional.
When I quit my job in 2020 I was in a bad place and needed time to heal from everything that was happening in the world and in my world. I was fortunate that I could take that time off and reflect (mostly in the outdoors).
Once I decided to embark on a journey of my own to start Itacate as a social good project which combines all my passions and values, my life honestly changed.
Working on Itacate by myself has been hard, but it has not been lonely. So many of you have rallied behind this idea and behind me as a founder. Thank so all so much for your support and generosity. I can't wait to see what we can all do together <3
