Hello, lovely Relearning Sex Ed contributors!
Long time, no talk! I hope you all are doing well.
First, I want to thank you all SO MUCH for being so gracious and patient as I've figured out how to proceed with Relearning Sex Ed over the last year or so. I very much veered from my original timeline due to my own personal circumstances and health issues, but completing this project and following through on my word to you all is a priority to me!
Second, I have some exciting updates! Earlier this year, I made the decision that I wanted to seek the help of a more experienced illustrator to create content that accompanies the information that you all provided, as I felt that my own illustrations didn't capture the content as strongly as I'd hoped. I started a new job a couple of months ago, which has given me the financial flexibility to hire an illustrator to help finish the last phase of this project. I'm thrilled to share that I've just signed a contract with Alana Peache (you can find her on Instagram at @nastypeache), who has agreed to create illustrations for all of the Relearning Sex Ed content. She will be creating these illustrations over the next couple months.
I have already formatted the book myself, and once the illustrations are inserted, I will self-publish on Amazon to allow me to sell the book at cost and print discounted copies to distribute to local sexual health organizations. Once I reach this step, I will send out another update to collect addresses for folks who want their own print copy of the book.
This project wouldn't have been possible without the support from you all in the fundraising stages, and I am incredibly grateful. I can't wait to share the finished product with you all.
