You may be thinking 'hey, Shop the Change is nowhere near their fundraising goal' - and you'd be right.
Here's the thing, we've got some really exciting developments brewing, and we'll keep you in the loop as it all evolves.
In the meantime, we thought you all might be wondering our why, and co-founder Sara talks a bit about hers in the newsletter we sent out this morning, here's an excerpt:
I officially became a stepmom nearly three years ago (it's a cinch to remember a Halloween wedding anniversary). Those of you who are parents know the major earthquake that the entrance of kids can cause - and I dove right into the thick of it. As we became a unit, we experienced the craziness of blending a family, and I personally struggled with redefining myself. My identity had to evolve from fun-loving, single Seattle-dweller with an income enough to cover my work and play, to responsible adult shuttling kids to school and playdates, budgeting every penny to make rent every month, shifting myself down on the totem pole of priorities until my self-care became a joke. I also deprioritized volunteering for the causes I cared so much about in favor of soccer practice or swimming lessons or, um, sleeping, and while I had committed myself to orchestrating an enriching life for these boys, I lost a little bit of myself along the way.
Stay tuned for more exciting news in the coming days!
