My friend Rachel, who is staring as Grace in "Not Too Far From Here", posted on her social media this statement, "When you learn how much your worth, you'll stop giving people discounts"
I had an ephiphany. I discounted the people that represent the purple ribbons by offering them for a discount of $2 each instead of $20.
Why? Because I wanted to make it affordable for my friends and family to be able to achieve the goal without much of a sacrifice.
For our contest with Robert, the mailman, who is going to enjoy his pineapple pizza this week, we are going to keep the ribbons at $2 because he gave us a second chance to measure up to his expectation.
His expectation? IF we hit 500 by Saturday 10/17/2020, he will place our #HOPE decal on his vehicle until it disintegrates. His commitment is strong and long and I hope to give him that opportunity for success.
So let's not discount his commitment with another temporary moment of eating a pizza. Let's give him #HOPE by giving $2 per ribbon to the "because I care". IF you've already given your $2, please share this with your friends and family and let's pay it forward!
