Wonderful supporters - I hope this message finds you safe and in good spirits despite our ongoing challenges!
This has been a trying time for entrepreneurs like me, but it's also made us dig deep and evaluate why we do what we do.
I'm not going to sugarcoat it: the past two months have been wrenching. I started my campaign on IFundWomen just before the outbreak of Covid-19. We raised just under $4K in less than two weeks and then hit the skids.
I suspended my campaign, tumbled through the various stages of grief (in no particular order), and then began evaluating why I started this business in the first place. I realized the answer was simple: I started Life Stories for the Ages to connect the generations through video, and to remind us all of the beauty of lives well led.
Now more than ever I am determined to make this business work. It's going to be different, but it's still going to be powerful. Because stories have staying power no matter how they are delivered.
I hope you will join me in sharing this new, virtual digital video service. We're going to optimize the production experience for customers, and do a lot of hand-holding. But it's going to be fun - and life-affirming!
