Our Mission + Values

Our vision is to inspire and empower 1 million data-literate womxn, increase the recruitment and retention of womxn in data professions and encourage innovation. We provide programming that educates those interested in the field through events, mentorship, and data product co-creation.

The Problem We are Solving

15% of women are data scientists. Women are usually the consumers not producers of data products. Algorithms amplify biases. Having diverse and inclusive teams mitigates this risk. In the new age of automation in the future of work women run the risk of being left behind. This is reduced by increasing the number of data-literate womxn and upskilling and supporting women currently in data professions. As data is woven into the fabric of many everyday products and services an inclusive lens is essential.

Our Solution + Impact

Over the last 4 years we've held sold out conferences and events. We want to encourage women to not only pursue data careers but have a chance to position themselves as creators and not just consumers of data products. Our Inclusive Fellowship program will place women on projects to use data science to create products and services that positively impact all women. The fellows will have a chance to use their work on the projects as portfolio-building content to help secure further employment post-fellowship.

We're seeking funding to develop our Inclusive Data Fellowship Program and sharpen our team's toolings as we've transitioned to being 100% remote.
