StoryCards: Self-Care for Your Mind

Inspiring Experiences is an empathy-centric, self-exploration movement that uses the art of story and self-discovery to encourage people to take time for themselves and their mental wellness.

Through interactive workshops, games, tools, and other resources, we help people realize that mental health and wellness is self-care too. Our focus is enabling individuals, business owners, and communities to use their personal stories and experiences to elevate their voices, uncover their authentic value, and discover who they are at their core to connect with themselves and with those around them.

Often we forget that self-care is as much for the mind as it is for the body.

When we make time for ourselves, we resort to screen time, spa days, exercise, yoga, and movie nights. While these activities are great for zoning out, distractions, and centering ourselves, we sometimes forget or don't realize that self-reflection, processing our experiences, and understanding ourselves are also key to mental health and wellness.

On the flip side, some of us fail to take self-care time at all. We aren't sure how to add it into our already packed daily agendas or we just don't know where to start — which makes self-care seem impossible. So, we tend to just skip it not realizing that we're adding even more stress to our minds and bodies.

Self-care should be easy, accessible, and should add value, understanding, and peace to our lives. StoryCards were created to guide you on a self-discovery journey, to help you find clarity, and to promote mental wellness in your life. Hi there! I'm Alexis Russell — a passionate mother, wife, creator, and story enthusiast who loves, lives, and leads with empathy. As I continue to connect the dots to my most authentic self and purpose, I’m making it my mission to help others do the same.

Over the last few years, I've gained quite a bit of storytelling, self-discovery, content creation, and product development experience. I've had the opportunity to partner with more than 40 local, national, and global nonprofits, socially conscious organizations, and business and community leaders as well as hundreds of individuals from around the country helping each of them to uncover who they are and share their stories.

As the Founder of Inspiring Experiences, I'm supporting people as they reframe their mindsets, build empathy and genuine connections with others, connect the dots on their self-discovery journeys, and craft and share their stories.
