What's Happening?

My best selling product, the Oasis Haircare - Nourishing Golden Oil is a hit with my customers! It's time to expand this hero product with a full collection line and get into big-name retailers.

The Problem I'm Solving

• Running a well-rounded beauty brand where my target consumers feel comfortable shopping for clean and safe products ideal for multi-textures. 
• Incorporating plant-based ingredients and herbs into Oasis Haircare that is inspired by the Caribbean and Africa. 
• Filling a void in the hair and beauty ownership space where there is a lack of multicultural owners of elevated marketplaces and quality hair care brands.
• Making healthy hair education and practices seamless and easy.

Why Oasis Haircare Exists

Oasis Haircare was designed to solve typical daily hair troubles like tangles, dryness, breakage, and post extension takedowns; the Oasis Haircare products gently revitalize multi-texture hair types. Each product will be created with a clean, plant-based profile that naturally nourishes, restores, and revives strands from root to tip.

From cleansing the scalp to hydrating and moisturizing the strands, every product is built on the foundation of using nature’s bounty to boost the health of hair, minus harsh chemicals, stripping additives, and irritants. The path to bouncy, soft, shiny hair is paved with clean ingredients that strengthen strands from the inside out to reveal unprocessed, natural beauty. 

I Need Your Help

After a few years of operating Nubian Oasis part-time, working a 9-5; I decided to go full-time beginning of 2020. I've always bootstrapped, but I've noticed the extreme importance of raising outside funding. I'm fortunate to have customers, and even retailers turn to my brand post-COVID/BLM protests. The increase of opportunities continues; however, it has been challenging to create new batches, secure hard to find packaging, and launch the 3 additional products that were slated before COVID.

For retail partnerships coming my way, I want to make sure I take on the opportunity, expand the line assortment of Oasis Haircare, finish the high-performing formulas, and offer something different to beauty consumers nationally and soon globally. It is now a necessity to raise funds at this time. I'm looking to raise collectively, a total of $25,000 amongst family and friends in exchange for the mentioned rewards.

• $25,000 of the collective fundraise contributions will go towards:
  • Raw ingredients
  • Ample Supply of Packaging to avoid current shortages
  • Equipment (such as label machine, filling, etc)
  • Shipping Supplies
  • Chemist Consulting
  • Stability Testing
  • Insurance

Market Size & Opportunity

About the Founder

Before creating Nubian Oasis, I noticed a void in the hair care community that I believed I could fill. As a patron, I realized there was a severe lack of proper customer support in standard hair supply stores. Brick and mortar locations are mostly operated by men, lack of customer service, and employees with little to no knowledge about textured hair care, products, or extensions. In turn, customers like myself would leave feeling frustrated and discouraged. I believed other women like myself, with similarly textured hair, deserved a space where they could feel excited to shop for hair care products and encouraged to ask questions about how to care for their hair. 

Nubian Oasis is a platform for clients to both shop and learn, while feeling empowered to care for their textured hair properly. It is an oasis where women can visit to celebrate the beauty in textured hair! It is now a space for Oasis Haircare and soon to a source for more beauty and wellness goodies for women.
