OUR MISSION

Sky Oro is a women-centric co-working and community space in Bozeman, Montana designed for women who believe in building friendships first, and networks second. Through relationship building, we provide a foothold for women to succeed. Collectively, we aspire to be a force for good in the broader community.

OUR CHALLENGE

More and more of us women feel isolated in our day-to-day lives, whether as entrepreneurs, solo-preneurs, working professionals, working moms, stay-at-home moms, or women embarking on our next endeavors. When isolated, our ability to problem solve and think creatively declines, and then self-doubt creeps in. 

We crave connection in real life, but there isn't a central gathering place for us in Bozeman. While we attend a lot of events around town - swapping business cards and following up - it's hard to develop meaningful connections, one cup of coffee or glass of wine at a time. There are gaps in the ways and opportunities that Bozeman women have to gather in the name of truly elevating one another.

OUR OPPORTUNITY 

There are more than 10,000 of us working women in the Bozeman area, at a median age of 29 years old. We are a highly entrepreneurial group, leading over 1,900 female-owned businesses. Sky Oro is a space within which we all can cultivate our ideas, collaborate and build partnerships in good company.

This space will encourage women to show up for themselves fully, and in ways that they have not yet recognized to be possible. 

We all want to be a part of something greater, to feel a sense of ownership and pride in the places that we frequent.  We have big dreams for our personal and professional lives, and we deserve an environment that is dedicated to making that happen, no matter where we are in our journey. Sky Oro is that place.

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING - MORE THAN A PLACE TO WORK, A COMMUNITY WITH PURPOSEFUL CONNECTION + EVENTS 

We are offering membership to Sky Oro so that we can open a physical space for our members. Here's what you can expect:

• A captivating space to work, meet, and connect 
• A community of warm, hard-working and future-oriented women who are established and aspiring leaders looking to make a difference 
• Individualized attention, tailored to your intentions for joining 
• Weekly events in four program areas: community-building and camaraderie; skills and professional development; wellness and social recreation; and social causes, as well as opportunities for you to host events

THE SPACE

The space will be located in Building O in the Bozeman Cannery District, surrounded by a growing community of vibrant entrepreneurial businesses. The building is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in August, for a Sky Oro Grand Opening in September.

The space is just over 1,600 square feet and will include a kitchenette, living room/lounge, study area, meeting room, phone booth, and mothers' room. The space is flexible enough to accommodate our variety of events, from presentations for a broader audience to focused round-table discussions. The potential energy bouncing off the walls is powerful, but humble. Imagine your own private loft-away-from-home: it puts you at ease, but still manages to take your breath away. Each time you set foot in the door, you should exhale a sigh of relief.

THE MEMBERSHIP

We are offering (4) membership types to accommodate a variety of members:

Full Member $1,300

You're a woman who wants to start and end her day at Sky Oro, working, daydreaming, and meeting in the space right up until member cocktail hour. 

Community Member $1,080

You're a social butterfly (or aspiring social butterfly), a lifelong learner, a wellness warrior, a go-to volunteer. This membership foregoes work and meeting space but still offers all-inclusive access to Sky Oro's events. 

Non-Profit Member $1,000

You're a woman who is driven by helping others and making the world a better place. You need a space to work and meet, and you recognize that Sky Oro women give their time and energy to causes that matter.

Business Member $1,100 (per member)

You have a partner or an entourage of women in your office (2 women or more, in fact) who want to be a part of everything Sky Oro has to offer. You need an off-site location to work, meet and host, and you want to plug into and contribute to the vibrant event scene, perhaps even testing new ideas and offerings with this audience.

THE COMMUNITY

Sky Oro is more than just a group of "contacts." It's comprised of women who believe in you, go to bat for you, and hear you. They don't just know you as Boss Lady, but as Mom and Friend. They offer this because they expect it in return. 

Members show up. They don't just participate, they engage. 

In this mutually supportive environment, great things happen. Not just for ourselves and for each other, but for the greater community in which we live and for the future we hope to have. 

THE TEAM 

Almost two years ago, Christina was struggling with a sense of isolation working in Big Sky. Her closest female friends were plane flights away, and her job engulfed her sense of community. She committed to regularly participate in Montana Women’s Business Center offerings in Bozeman, attending their leadership series and business tours, and was incredibly encouraged by the women she met and the stories they shared. If only, she thought, there was a place to continue the conversation - not just one coffee or glass of wine at a time, but a space where everybody knows (or wants to know) your name.

About a year later, now up in Helena, Amanda was experiencing the isolation and frustration that comes along with working remotely, and had an idea to start a co-working space to fill that need. When she relocated to Bozeman, she reached out to women in the area to advance this idea, and was connected with Christina. Their shared desire to create a women-centric community space took hold.
