SheBoss Unlimited

The mission of SheBoss Unlimited is to conduct research and increase awareness of the inequalities women face in business as well as empower women who have started or aspire to start their own businesses, or who desire to secure executive level positions. This service will be delivered through resources such as professional development workshops, webinars and online courses, mentoring programs, scholarships, and grants.

SheBoss Unlimited is committed to creating more opportunities for women to grow and excel in their professional or entrepreneurial pursuits.  The company also aims to provide a resource of funding to women who start for-profit businesses because most grants are awarded to non-profit organizations and SheBoss Unlimited wants to do our part in providing some relief in that area.  Also, there are plans to conduct more research on the disparity of women in senior level positions and attempt to uncover the unspoken rules in hiring decisions related to women as related to unconscious bias.

Women's empowerment is a trending market currently due to special interest causes, such as the #MeToo Movement, Equal Pay, and Gender Bias issues, to name a few. Women are speaking up and speaking louder about things that affect them and are advocating for themselves, based on their worth, now, more than ever.  There is a strong wave of feminist movements and bonding between women these days and SheBoss Unlimited falls in line with such. In 2018, there were approximately 167.5 million women in the US who all are potential beneficiaries of women's empowerment through SheBoss Unlimited and similar companies.

SheBoss Unlimited offers products and services.  The SheBoss branded merchandise includes apparel, such as t-shirts, drinkware, and accessories.These branded products send a direct message for any woman who wears of displays them.  The apparel itself gives the women a sense of empowerment and courage, which is the goal.  The company name, logo and colors were all strategically selected to represent boldness, strength, power, confidence, and a little sassiness. A portion of the proceeds from sales help fund the SheGrant and Fortitude Scholarship. Other services include professional development workshops that help women develop the confidence, leadership skills, and knowledge to negotiate better salaries, develop a pitch deck for funding opportunities, set attainable goals and gain clarity on the what, why, how and when.

I am seeking funding because I don't want to take out a loan.  Currently I am bootstrapping my way through.  I launched SheBoss Unlimited on October 16, 2018, National Bosses day, so I am in the beginning stages of my business and I understand I will need more funds to be able to offer more to my target market and to be able to scale the business faster and effectively provide the resources and services mentioned.  I don't have a large savings which is slowing down my progress and stifling my vision, to a degree. In this short span of time, the brand has been well-received.  I have received requests for specific merchandise that I don't currently offer so being able to secure funds will allow me to give the ladies what they want.  

Currently, I am the sole team member of SheBoss Unlimited but I believe the business is going to take off so strong that I will eventually need to hire an assistant and a social media manager.
