Planning Pretty celebrates life at home through designing and curating whimsical, elegant products that create moments of beauty and joy. The home environment is vital to our wellbeing and intentional decorating leads to healthy mindsets and lasting memories for everyone in the home.

Home Decor doesn't have to be a headache...

Decorating your home can be a very overwhelming list of tasks, not to mention the cost. We see so many spaces magically transformed on TV or Instagram and wonder, “how can I make my space feel just as special?” Have you ever found yourself saying...

1. I can't afford to do a complete decor makeover.
2. I have no idea what my decor style is at all.
3. I don't know where to look to find the decor I want for my home.

3. Curating home decor and lifestyle products at affordable price points available via our online shopping website.

Who is a fan of Planning Pretty?

Planning Pretty's customers are millennials age 25-45, predominately women that love decor and gathering with friends + family. They have their own apartment or homes some single, married or with children.  They are looking to elevate their decor and create a space that reflects and aligns with who they are now.

About our founder...

Our founder, Camille Simmons, has worked in interior decorating industry for almost 10 years.  She has styled and decorated spaces for clients' homes. She's collaborated with brands to style spaces for photoshoots, magazines in print and online.  As a psychology graduate from Harvard,  she truly strives to understand the needs of her clients and find an effective ways to solve those problems with home decor.  She deeply believes that our home environment has the power to improve our emotional wellbeing and bring us closer towards an intentional life. Decorating is a form of therapy.

Why Planning Pretty needs your help...

In 2018, Planning Pretty was unable to keep its shop doors open.  Our founder was expecting her first child and faced many challenges as a black female entrepreneur.  In 2019, Camille and her family endured a devastating cancer diagnosis for their newborn son, Milo, and spent the next 18 months completing treatment.  Then the pandemic began in 2020 and like many small businesses, Planning Pretty saw a significant drop in revenue for its online shop.  In an effort to pivot, Camille relaunched her blog and design services in the Fall of 2020. She has been able to slowly regain business but is no longer able to run the business alone or meet the growing costs of operation.  As a stay-at-home mother and entrepreneur support is needed to take this business to the next level.

With funding, Planning Pretty will be able to invest in a team to support the growth of the business.  It will allow Planning Pretty to invest in assistance with marketing, social media strategy and design.  Funding will also make it possible to refresh our inventory and offer products from brands that better align with our mission of creating decor that is beautiful, sustainable and consciously made.  It also means Planning Pretty can finally be trademarked and protected. 

These small steps make it possible for Planning Pretty to expand its audience and take on new opportunities for brand collaborations, begin to design a line of decor products and create higher quality content for the blog and social media.
