In early 2022, Up Beet Jams will be growing into Radish Kitchen, a plant-based hub for the Heart of Illinois. Radish Kitchen will continue catering services and serving pre-ordered vegan meals each week, but will expand into grab-and-go meals available daily, a small selection of made-to-order meals, a plant-based convenience store with bulk items and teas, and an event space for workshops, classes, meetings, and dinner parties. The storefront will allow what started as a small meal prep service for a few friends to grow into a hub to share the love of plant-based food with the community.
I am raising funds to purchase equipment including pots and pans, a freezer, display coolers, inventory, and help with various start-up costs. Any funds we raise will also help with any construction of the front of the store. I am taking on as many tasks as possible myself to reduce the cost including lighting, painting, building shelving and displays, and more. Though I am fully prepared to make the jump into a full storefront, I am asking for your help to make this space a possibility so we can continue serving our community in this way and more!
