What is the story behind Poised Excellence?

The Story Behind Poised Excellence...

A story that began with my own struggle with low self-esteem and depression, as well as, the path I took down a rocky road. But through each trial and tribulation, I was able to find the end of the road leaving a trail of blood, sweat, and tears. I made a lot of mistakes through my life, however, I do not regret the path because it made me a stronger woman with a testimony to share, so others could avoid the same pitfalls. The story continued; the number of surrounding beautiful women and young girls that I call family and friends were my inspiration in finding a solution to these problems. Seeing some of these brave women and girls fight recurring uphill battles broke my heart. Seeing their pain gave me the determination to help others heal and discover an easy to understand lesson plan to help them to avoid falling into the same patterns.

After, being healed. I went on a mission to better myself in all ways possible. I got a corporate job and enrolled in college. Over the last few years working in "Corporate America" and observing society as a whole, I saw a problem that desperately needed a solution.  I saw young people behaving with no manners, no filter, and dressing like they do not care about their appearance, this hurts my heart. After praying and trying all of the different ways I learned from watching both successful and unsuccessful people, failing to try again. It finally all came together. The solution I found was a concept or method I named Poised Excellence in order to teach this method I knew I needed to educate on a global platform. Poised Excellence is a concept that is compiled of many lessons on the fundamentals of the old-fashioned way of Poise- which include Posture, Self-care, Grace, Compassion, Empowerment, Inspiration, what it means to have Beauty on the inside that shines, through to show beauty on the outside, and Motivation.  Excellence is a Success training on subjects such as Effective Communication, Emotional Intelligence, real Health/Fitness, how to have a Growth Mindset, and setting attainable Goals! Not only targeted to the youth but also to all Women who dedicate themselves to self-love and a constant drive for improvement. 

Spreading the mission and message is vital, so that it gains traction, in order for those suffering have somewhere to turn and someone who will not judge as they have been there before. Another Important Cause to me is the foundation Girls, Inc.
Girls, Inc. is a foundation that helps young girls to focus on the development of the whole girl. She learns to value herself, take risks, and discover and develop her inherent strengths. The combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers, and to grow up healthy, educated, and independent. Informed by girls and their families, they also advocate for legislation and policies to increase opportunities and rights for all girls.
