Mission: Pippy Sips is on a mission to create products that make pumping easier and more accessible to all breastfeeders. It's time to add simplicity to your pumping experience, while "making breastmilk even cooler"®.  

Problem:  Breastmilk is perishable and needs to be cooled.  However, fridges aren’t portable or always readily available, and traditional coolers can be bulky and unreliable.  We believe moms should be free to live their lives without worrying about spoiling their liquid gold.   

Market:  Over 3.5 million babies are born every year in the U.S., and the vast majority are breastfed for at least some period of time. For moms who use breast pumps as part of their feeding journeys, there are plenty of logistical challenges.  And pumping, of course, isn't free: It's not uncommon for parents to spend more than $1,000 annually on feeding-related products and services.  For Pippy Sips, the opportunity to provide pumping moms with a convenient, reliable, safe and affordable product, that stores and cools breastmilk on the go, is an obvious one to pursue.

Solution Oriented: Since its founding in 2017, Pippy Sips has sought out to reduce barriers in breastmilk storage through tech, innovation and beauty.  Our first step in that process was the launch of our patented, flagship product, Maia - a portable storing, cooling and monitoring system for breastmilk.  We're expanding Maia’s reach while also developing new accessories to enhance your pumping experience.

About Pippy Sips: Pippy Sips is proud to be a family-owned business. The founders are college sweethearts who've been dancing and building a life together for almost 22 years, during which were born two kids and a company! Pippy Sips: From Concept to Revolutionary Product

Lightbulb Moment: Amberlee Venti experiences a transformative moment after months of pumping and storing breast milk, envisioning a S'well-like cooling container tailored for breast milk storage.

Foundation Laid: Pippy Sips is officially established, and the team begins extensive research to develop their first product.

Innovative Development: Collaborating with skilled engineers, the Pippy Sips team engages in a rigorous design process, characterized by multiple iterations of their initial product. Amberlee feels confident that the company is on track to fulfill its mission and decides to initiate fundraising efforts.

Patent Filing: Pippy Sips files a provisional patent to protect their innovation and launches a crowdfunding campaign on IFundWomen to raise capital and increase visibility.

R&D Focus: The team continues research and development emphasizing manufacturing, culminating in successfully acquiring a utility patent for their flagship product, Maia.

Manufacturing Begins: After refining Maia’s design based on user feedback, Pippy Sips commences its first production run, preparing for market entry.

Initial Success: Pippy Sips sells out its first production round, validating the demand for Maia. Supply Chain Challenges: The company encounters difficulties due to the global supply chain crisis, specifically in sourcing microchips crucial for the thermo-lid. In response, the team pivots and redesigns the thermo-lid to accommodate a more accessible microchip option.

Expansion: Pippy Sips launches a second production run while progressing toward their first retail launch.

Retail Milestone: Maia officially debuts on Target.com, significantly increasing accessibility for mothers everywhere.

Grant Acquisition: Pippy Sips secures a grant from BOTOX Cosmetic and IFundWomen, enhancing their financial sustainability.

Recognized Excellence: Pippy Sips is honored with the Best of Philly award in the Fixers and Doers category, celebrating their innovation and impact.
