PHR: Professional Development Platform

1. What platform will this professional development platform be available on? The Public Health Resources e-learning platform will be available across as many devices & operating systems as possible like apple, android and windows so we can reach as many health professionals across the world as they work to achieve their greatest potential! :)

2. Is the  e-learning platform available to use now? No, our learning management system is in development and that’s what this crowdfunding is about, however Public Health Resources is available online for immediate access now!

3. Will this app be available around the world? Yes. The more support we can get, the quicker it will be that we can connect all health professionals around the world to tools and resources!

4. What is our goal? To provide personalized professional development tools  and information for the purposes of continued growth and learning. Public Health Resources is a global public health professional development program by Chilombo Global Career Services LLC in partnership with Sproutly Career Services  that delivers career development resources, tools, and opportunities in an affordable, scalable, and measurable way. We’re dedicated to giving every student, graduate, and professional a digital playground for career growth. 

5. What is the money being used for? We’re looking to raise $50K to assist with the development of the prototype and subsequent beta testing. We are active in extensive networks of over 500+ public health specialists with interdisciplinary backgrounds that have a proven track record in their field, with decades of experience. Our professional development platform will  allow young professionals to navigate their career journeys through our platform with not only guidance from experts, but also engaging activities and practices to help them apply the skills and practices they learn on our platform in real-world experiences. With your financial support, we hope to get to market in the next six months. We look forward to connecting public health students and professionals with our public health resources community!

6. How will we achieve this? The idea is that anyone in the allied sciences will be able to further enhance their skill-sets: It’s a freemium e-learning platform that allows the end user to access basic services for free; it takes just one minute to create an account. Unlike Coursera and edX our platform is a one-stop shop that provides career development through activity-based workshops, collaborates with organizations of interest to sponsor informational interviews and virtual career fairs,and facilitates practical public health learning through hands-on trainings and simulations led by public health professionals.

7. What do we need to be able to achieve this?

• We need to SHARE the message.
• We need people like you to share the message of kicking out IMPOSTER SYNDROME and INVESTING IN YOURSELF with friends, family, networks, media – anyone who will listen to the mission and the goal.
• We need RESOURCES
• We need the resources to expand and quicken our development. We feel a sense of urgency that health professionals need these curated resources now, and it needs to come from a place of self-awareness and determination. At the moment, the expansion that is required for this to happen is just out of reach – so we need the resources: People. Money. Time. Support. to bring this revolution to the whole world.
