Dear Friends, Supporters, and Fitness Enthusiasts,

 
Thank you for your time as I share a deeply personal journey and an opportunity that means the world to me, my family, and my community.  I am a 33-year-old mother and personal trainer living in the Eastern Sierras, a stunning region of California where the opportunities for outdoor adventures are boundless. 

As a lifelong athlete managing Type 1 diabetes, prioritizing health and wellness has been a constant in my life. Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, maintaining my well-being took on heightened significance as I navigated a high-risk pregnancy and welcomed an extraordinary little boy into the world. The experience of becoming a mother has kindled an even greater sense of purpose and passion for fitness. This profound connection has evolved into a dream – the aspiration to transform my personal training venture, Paradox Fitness, into a comprehensive gym that not only fosters my community's physical well-being but also serves as an invaluable outlet for many.

The courage to embark on this journey arose from personal loss and unexpected challenges. A year ago, I lost my dad to a rare and aggressive bone cancer that blindsided us all, taking him in just three days without anyone even knowing what was wrong. My dad was our family's rock and his loss was devastating. Now, my mother is facing metastatic breast cancer and the unknown path of her battle challenges us every day.  The reality of these difficult circumstances brought into focus that time is fleeting and we cannot wait forever to pursue dreams. I am committed to building a better future for myself, my family and our community. 

In the midst of these challenges, I pursued a vision that could pave the way for my future stability. Through unwavering dedication, I was presented with an incredible opportunity– the chance to open Paradox Fitness Gym realizing a dream that holds profound significance for both my family and community.

Paradox Fitness transcends the conventional gym experience; it's a dynamic space for athletes, casual exercisers, elite competitors, and weekend warriors alike, catering to individuals at every fitness level and promoting both physical and mental well-being.
 

Our distinctive feature lies in our dedication to offering a pristine, well-equipped space customized to meet clients' specific needs. Through collaborations with leading trainers, sports physicians, and enthusiastic professionals, we guarantee exceptional value for our patrons. Covering a spectrum of activities, Paradox Fitness stands as a holistic solution for everyone. I firmly believe that exercise extends beyond physical transformation; it fosters mental well-being, provides therapy through movement, and empowers individuals to embrace the activities they love in our beautiful home. 

I have received significant positive support, offers of mentorship, enthusiastic encouragement, and validation that this gym is a much-needed resource in our community. However, the financial investment required to bring this opportunity to its true potential is a hurdle I can't overcome alone. I have worked diligently to make this space a reality. I now turn to you, the community of those who share my values of health, wellness, community, and supporting small businesses, for support in pulling it together the rest of the way.  Through crowdfunding, we can come together to create a space in the Eastern Sierra that promotes health, embraces diversity, and fosters a positive environment for all of us who have a connection to fitness and wellbeing. My goal is to raise the remaining $40,000 to acquire the equipment most requested by the community and put the finishing touches on the gym.
