WHO WE ARE
The Palma Project is a team of Business, Technology and Education professionals challenging the way we educate young people by teaching them transferable life skills and providing them the tools to take control of their future.
Hi, I'm Renee Palma, and I'm the Founder & CEO of the Palma Project. I have 23 years experience in software development and executive leadership in Financial Services, Government, Healthcare, and more. Today I'm dedicated to using my experience, as a worker, leader and as a parent, to build a development support system that positions young people for success.
WHAT WE DO
We expect more than ever from our students with regard to hard-skill learning, yet we are not teaching them the soft skills they need to retain that learning, apply it, and remain mentally healthy. As youth and young adults learn their way into the 21st century, they must be provided these foundational tools in order to be successful and well-balanced leaders. Today we have a Global Skills Gap that highlights the absence of Soft skills in tomorrow's leaders. Skills such as Critical Thinking, Communication, Leadership, and Collaboration.
Our services teach students a set of transferable soft skills, such as effective collaboration, time management and project management, in order to build their confidence and take control of their futures.
Our focus is the empowerment of today's students and young adults, but our services are relevant to anyone who wants to enhance their return.
HOW WE DO IT
We partner with programs, foundations, and organizations who understand that development of youth contributes greatly to the positive development of communities and our future. As well as corporations who want a better pipeline of candidates to choose from as they grow their teams.
Imagine a world where young adults can leave high school and even college with the ability to take what they know and make something actually happen with that information.
WHY WE'RE RAISING MONEY
We are raising capital on IFW to create the beta programming for The Palma Project's next level.
As a two person start up for the last year and a half we have literally bootstrapped all we can. We have trained and developed more than 130 youth/young adults as we developed our foundation.
The need has never slowed down. Our next level positions us to bring more of our hands on services to more leaders of tomorrow. WE JUST NEED YOUR HELP!
WHERE IS THE MONEY GOING
The money we raise will allow us to continue to support youth and young adults and also apply components to our Trainings and Workshops that are missing. Components such as digital devices that allow participants to actively engage in activities and also allows us to perform needed assessments in a faster and more streamlined approach. By contributing you will help us grow and provide more services to communities. This includes:

Time Management Tool subscriptions for participants.

Operational Equipment for servicing areas that are low income and lacking things such as projectors.
