Project Description

The Nelle is a dedicated space to offer opportunities for women to stay connected to the working world, by hosting business meetings offsite or finding flexible ways to take care of themselves. We are dedicated to cultivating a community of women who seek to mentor and be mentored, provide opportunities for learning and development and cultivate a network to help change the issues facing women in our city. We are also an advocate for change - alongside partnering organizations, we will look to move women forward in Kansas City.

We are raising funds to redevelop a 20,000+ sq. ft. building in Midtown Kansas City, located near major businesses and the heart of our city that would allow for ease of access for members and guests. This space would create 30+ jobs as well as provide working women flexibility and programming to help propel them into the community and cut down the time it would take for powerhouse females to meet. Our space will also include programs for mentoring young women in our community to help develop business acumen at an earlier age and provide positive role models in business.

Our space has been inspired by the Soho House and has focus on intentional design and layout. From the small details to the big finish, every touch point is thoughtfully curated with our member experience in mind.

Allowing for organic relationships to develop within the Nelle ecosystem and creating opportunities for young women to access female role models will allow our community to grow and thrive.

Can I sponsor someone instead of donating to the campaign? 100% - please contact sierra@thenelle.com to discuss sponsorship opportunities
What is my donation being used for exactly? - Funds will be used to renovate existing historical property in Midtown, KC along with purchasing of furniture, equipment and business related functions to provide top of the line service at our space.
Are men & kids allowed in the space? - Just like men and children are in our day to day, they are apart of our space at The Nelle. We have designated "members only" floors and children's spaces within our space. Guests are welcome in our space once our doors open as long as they are accompanied by members.
What if I want to become a member? - Visit our website www.thenelle.com to apply to become a member! Membership includes access to all onsite amenities including but not limited to: gym, blow dry bar, spa, short term childcare, executive board room, small conference rooms, working style stations, and more!
