Moon Chaser Farm is an herbal skincare brand committed to farm-to-skin transparency and organic farming practices. We grow and responsibly forage our medicinal herbs to craft fresh, healing, and nutritious skincare products. As we began developing our skincare line, we observed that many large retailers of medicinal herbs and carrier oils often sourced their products from overseas. We recognized in our own desire to bridge that gap and source our herbs as locally as possible, that we are actually just a part of a wider consciousness and network of individuals who appreciate the same. Consumers today want to know exactly what they're putting on and in their bodies and where it came from, making sourcing and transparency more prudent than ever. 

Moon Chaser Farm addresses this by: 

Responsibly foraging and growing our medicinal herbs on-site for freshness and ethical practices- Our herbs are grown right here, reducing our carbon footprint and reliance on large suppliers. Additionally, our farming practices promote healthier soil, in turn growing healthier plants for your skin. 
Partnering with other small farm businesses to source our carrier oils- Moon Chaser Farm recently transitioned from purchasing our carrier oils from a large, faceless conglomerate who first sourced from overseas, to small family farms in Oregon, California and Arizona whose farm and business ethos align more closely to ours. Sourcing this way is more expensive, but knowing our products help our family farm as well as other small US farms is worth every penny. 
Promoting slow skincare and education on medicinal herbs for topical use- More and more, folks are wanting to know what is in and behind the products they buy. Moon Chaser Farm offers a truly transparent and holistic option to a public with a growing interest in natural alternatives and clean beauty. 

I, Charlotte, the farmer behind Moon Chaser Farm, have been working in agriculture for over 10 years, with three years in the organic sector, and have spent the last 5 years developing Moon Chaser Farm's product line. I've also spent the past 5 years studying, growing, and foraging herbs and have established a deep understanding of each plant I grow and how it interacts with the body. This knowledge and how much our products have resonated with people has brought me so much joy. I have seen the excitement around Moon Chaser Farm grow as more users express their appreciation for our focus on plant medicine and localized sourcing and ingredients grown with so much intention. I am passionate about this farm and our skincare, and believe my background and the public's enthusiasm positions me perfectly to create healthier, happier skin for everyone. 

I'm raising $10,000 on IFW to fully rebrand Moon Chaser Farm's product line and website while improving our operations in a methodical way. This funding will help us to buy materials to scale production over the next year, acquiring tools and machinery to streamline our processes, improve our workspace currently outfitted in our garage, and cover costs for all things rebranding, photography, and marketing. We also plan to expand our growing area and, if possible, hire employees to prepare for the upcoming season.

I have a stretch goal of $15,000, which would allow me to invest in more advanced equipment, broaden our marketing efforts, purchase larger quantities of oil and packaging, and even step into future seasons with more security. With the right investments, I believe Moon Chaser Farm can fast forward a couple of years on our goals.
