Mental Health Metaverse for Yoga and Meditation

Yoga is a holistic healing practice that should be affordable and portable without the need for expensive accessories, subscription services, or studio memberships. I created Spoken Word Yoga with the intention of sharing Yoga and Meditation to enhance the mental health and physical well-being of at least 1 billion people worldwide. After teaching Yoga since 2009, I now believe that the Web3 platform offers a new frontier for health and wellness innovation by providing easily accessible holistic options to treat chronic physical pain and debilitating mental stress with Yoga and meditation for all body types, age ranges, and socio-economic demographics.

In November 2021, I launched the YOG8 Yoga DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) to create a Mental Health Metaverse by offering a platform to a global community of holistic healers to offer Yoga, meditation, Reiki, Holographic Memory Therapy and other ancient mental health modalities to a worldwide audience in desperate need of accessible and affordable mental health services and physical mobility practices. ​The Spoken Word Yoga YOG8 DAO is the G8way to physical health and mental wellbeing on a Web3 platform that eliminates the restrictive elitist access to Yoga, meditation, and holistic mental health therapies.

WEB3 decentralized platforms require code-based smart contracts executed on the blockchain that place ownership directly in the hands of creators and contributors rather than corporations. Hiring a Web3 developer is the primary initial cost requiring immediate financial support. Website maintenance and Video and Graphic editing are extremely challenging and costly without a team of developers and graphic artists. Social media managers are necessary to moderate community conversations online while posting relevant content that offers value in elevating the quality of interactions promoting a positive mental health shift for users.

Through Spoken Word Yoga, I infuse life-advice and positive affirmations into the Yoga practice and encourage intentionally positive thoughts and actions through my Self-published book 365 Mindful Moments Journal: A Lift-Shifting Journaling Practice. I require financial support to expand the online offerings of Spoken Word Yoga and Meditation onto a Web3 Metaverse platform and to fund the marketing of the Self-published 365 Mindful Moments Journal. The Spoken Word Yoga YOG8 DAO invites other holistic modality practitioners to contribute their services as token holders to offer an affordable and portable way to take Yoga, meditation and other ancient mental health modalities on the go, making them easy to assimilate into our daily lives.
