January 20, 2018 marked the 2nd year of the @womensmarch worldwide. Our team represented through out California. In Los Angeles alone, over 500,000 people marched (women and men), in support of this pivotal moment of awakening in our nation, and this greater shift in the consciousness for humanity. We are equal. We are whole. Our stories will be heard. Since 2017's inauguration and Fall 2017's viral hashtags of #metoo and #timesup, the world is (finally) paying attention and requiring consequences be paid for this systemic pattern (and behavior) of misogyny, misuse of power, violence, and inequality. Over 600,000 women (straight, gay, trans, or bi), have shared their stories of sexual harassment and trauma. The time is up! As jolting, painful, and confusing as these cases and outcries have been, it has stirred the nation (and its Mothers, Sisters, Daughters, as well as its Conscious Men) into action.

The Magic of Psalm Nonprofit = ACTION. We commit to practical, measurable, and empowering action. We are driven by a team of licensed educators, certified professional coaches, sex educators, feminists, Mothers, sisters, and personal survivors (of sexual violence). Our curriculum, programs, creative events, and conferences are designed from sexual health information (with medical accuracy), emotional intelligence research, and ancient mindfulness practices and tools for well being. We educate and empower, while encouraging community and creative connections. The confidence gained from being well informed, seen, and understood, helps us heal (trauma), find our voices, own our stories, develop clear boundaries, and make healthy decisions. Our advantage here, at "The Magic of Psalm", is that we are a team of connected sisters bonded by more than just an organization. We are fiercely devoted to the movement, and with the people we serve, no matter where we march.

EDUCATION IS THE KEY...

WE APPRECIATE YOUR DONATIONS!

With high need, during this sensitive and powerful time in history, we're already working in the schools in Los Angeles, California with close to 200 students. We completed Module 1 of 4 in Nov 2017; Module 1 delivers information on "Language, Communication, and Consent" (its connection to social and sexual relationships). All 4 Modules, combined, provides a powerful SexEd Program that is researched based, medically accurate, and comprehensive. Year 1, we're reaching the students/teachers, and refining the presentation to maintain the required standards, while meeting with the energy and attention of each age group and demographic. "The Magic of Psalm" works closely with advisors, PhD students, partners and organizations, to keep our material creative and innovative. We need funding!! Funds for Year 1 goes to admin costs, the material for students (from schools with need and no budget), and the online videos and courses (offering lessons to survivors and students) releasing Summer 2018. We've received feedback of the need for trainings online and independent, to support (anonymous) adult survivors, home-schools, and low income parents needing training. The first couple years of any nonprofit or startup requires extra outreach. With your support, we will make it all happen!! 

Sex Ed delivered at an early age, can provide the appropriate framework for educating about sexual violence, and harassment. Providing a safe container and the permission to discuss differences, needs, and fears, openly, we arm our students with options and awareness. Confidence, knowledge, and social responsibility helps direct us to make conscious choices. Stigmatizing programs that exclude medically accurate information, statistics, options, and conversation about individual and cultural experiences, have been shown to have negative sexual (and social) impact. Withholding information, or promoting personal, or religious standards can be damaging.

THE STATISTICS ARE UNACCEPTABLE

We will break this cycle by empowering all students, teachers, parents, and leaders, with the researched based information, and foundational tools (emphasizing confidence, affirmative consent, and ownership), to support social consciousness and safety. We will build a community that delivers credible resources, support, and connections; a place where challenging conversations can be had, and a restorative justice approach is embraced. We will work to heal the whole system.
