• What is the mission of your company or project?

Inspired by my Indian culture and childhood experience of eating on banana leaves in India, I introduced the concept of this sustainable practice to the western world. I became the mom who rescue fallen Areca palm leaves in India and give them one more use to create sustainable palm leaf tableware alternatives.

"DTOCS" brand name, echoes the essence of "Detox," symbolizes a cleaner, sustainable journey with palm leaves.

Our tableware? Crafted from naturally shed palm leaves, they're eco-friendly, chemical-free, and perfect for homes and events.
Dtocs is on a mission to replace your plastic and paper single-use disposable tableware (plates, bowls, spoons,straws and charcuterie boards)! • Describe the problem you are solving.

Imagine the weight of 150,000 African elephants. That's the staggering weight = 960,000 metric tons of disposable plates discarded every year in the USA. This enormous elephant in the room is our landfill problem, and it's time we address it.

• What is the market size/opportunity?

Imagine the world of sustainable tableware as a grand pie worth $80 billion by 2030: that's our entire dessert spread or Total Addressable Market(TAM).
Within that spread is a unique palm leaf slice, growing to be $5 billion by 2027 - our targeted piece or Serviceable Available Market (SAM).
Dtocs, the expert chef, aims to serve a specific part of this slice. While we have the capability to dish out a chunk worth $1.25 billion by 2027, we're aiming to perfectly craft a $50 million piece by 2026, our chosen bite or Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM).

10K will be invested towards sustainability and compostability certifications.
