Our Beliefs

We believe diversity and inclusion inspires creativity and drives innovation.
We believe inclusion is not just about checking a box, but a culture of belonging, connection, and collaboration.
We believe dance is transformational, dancing brings people together, and dance is a powerful vehicle for change.

About Infinite Flow

Infinite Flow is a professional dance company composed of dancers with and without disabilities using dance to inspire inclusion and innovation.  Infinite Flow is not only breaking the stigma of disability, we also demonstrate infinite possibilities.  We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 and based in Los Angeles, and was founded by Marisa Hamamoto, a dancer and stroke survivor.  Since 2015, Infinite Flow has performed 100+ times from community fairs to corporate events.  Our videos have been viewed by 70 million people on Facebook alone and we have organized 200+ inclusive dance classes.

Infinite Flow School Assemblies

Infinite Flow School Assemblies are school performances led by Infinite Flow's dancers with and without disabilities, empowering students K-5 to celebrate diversity and thrive through challenges, while making improvements on inclusion and accessibility practices at the school as a whole. Our school assemblies are 45-60 minutes each and the assembly includes performances, motivational speaking, introduction to sign language, and lots of student interaction, empowering students to become an inclusion superhero.

Why we are raising money

Two years ago an elementary school in Culver City, CA saw our impact, and invited us to perform at their school.  We got raving reviews from the students, faculty, and PTA.  Since then over 30 schools have approached us for assemblies, but only 3 schools have had a school assembly budget.  This just didn't seem right.  Money shouldn't be the barrier for youth to experience our assemblies where we empower kids to celebrate difference, embrace inclusion, and disable fear.  So we decided to raise funds so that under-resourced schools could apply to have us come out.  We are starting with the goal of raising money for SPONSORED ASSEMBLIES AT 100 UNDER-RESOURCED ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Especially for those who are are business experts: We know there are 90,000 elementary schools in the US and going to all 90,000 schools for live assemblies is not a realistic.  As we lead live assemblies, we hope to explore ways together with the school communities we are reaching to better scale the Infinite Flow School Assembly program through digital and media technology where the audience we can reach is infinite.

One School Package: $2000

Includes

  • Two 45-minutes assemblies
  • 5-7 professional dancers with and without disabilities
  • 2 sign language interpreters
  • School staff and PTA/PTO inclusion awareness workshop
  • Post assembly assignments
  • Post assembly inclusion improvement follow up

** $2000 does not include travel costs outside of Southern California.   $2000 covers the on-the-day hard costs for us to go to 1 school in Southern California.  We are seeking travel sponsors - airline, hotel, ground transportation, etc. so we can reach more schools across the USA and beyond.  If you fit this category, we would love to hear from you.  Write to Marisa@InfiniteFlowDance.org

** You can book us for your school directly on this platform, and pay it forward to other schools as well.

Funding DNA

80% will go towards the School Assembly Packages
20% will go towards activities and costs supporting the assemblies: Rehearsal studio rental, curriculum creation costs, choreography costs, administrative & management costs, insurance etc.

Our start goal is to raise funds for assemblies for 50 schools.  We'll increase our goal to 100 once we are closer to 50.  Our vision is to reach an infinite number of schools and youth, and past live school assemblies, we are considering taking our live assemblies online to a web-based platform to reach an infinite number of youth, schools, and families.

We are seeking airline & hotel sponsors to help cover travel costs for school assemblies outside of the Southern California region.  Contact Marisa@InfiniteFlowDance.org should you be a potential travel sponsor.

Some of Our Dancers

... and others.  We have a roster of 20 talented professional dancers with and without disabilities each brining a diverse perspective to the table.

Why inclusion applies to you

We have each had the experience of being excluded, whether it was not being invited to a birthday party or being rejected from a job application.  Perhaps some of these incidents came as a result of bias and being judged on your identity.  At the same time, we have each experienced fear of going into the unknown, whether it's the fear of connecting with new people perceived different from ourselves, or embarking on a new job or activity.  But the interesting thing is when you collaborate with someone "different" from yourself, there is no choice but to get a little creative to make things work.  This is why INCLUSION INSPIRES INNOVATION.  And more interesting, when you embrace inclusion, you embrace your own uniqueness.  Now imagine a world where inclusion is a given... this is the culture we are incubating with our #InfiniteInclusion school assembly programs.

We need you

Imagine a world where diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity don't have to be discussed because it's a given.  When you are exposed to inclusion at an early age, it stays with you the rest of your life.  By contributing to this campaign, you are helping to build a future of an inclusive and accessible world where we can each thrive.

The Project FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q:  Could I specify a school for where my funds goes towards?
A:  At the $2000 sponsorship level and above you may specify where your funds goes towards. All contributions below $2000 you cannot specify a school.  If you are a PTA/PTO fundraising for a school, we ask that you gather the funds behind the scenes first and make one payment on this platform.

Q:  Does $2000 School Assembly Package include travel costs?
A:  $2000 includes local travel costs.  Anything outside of the Greater Los Angeles region and surrounding counties will require additional travel costs.  We are seeking flight and hotel sponsors so we can fly anywhere in the country without worrying about travel costs - help us out if you are from the travel industry :)
