- In fact, 1,000 purses or wallets are stolen every 2-minutes in the U.S. — nearly 300,000 per year — and less than 10% are recovered. I wanted to create a product that kept valuables safe, was easily locatable if discarded by a thief and of course, still be fashionable.

What does Ilesovi mean?
Ilesovi is a portmanteau that honors the lived cultural experiences that personally impact our founder. “Ileso” is Portuguese for unsafe and unscathed. “Vi” is Vietnamese for purse.

What are the dimensions of the bag?
Our flagship “Kim” bag is designed as the perfect work tote. 36cm L x 17cm W x 35cm H
It's large enough for a 13” laptops and most tablets.
Are straps included?
Yes! We’ve included convertible straps so you can wear it cross body or as a backpack.
What are the materials used?
All our bags are complex in design with multiple layers for the ultimate protection and discretion. The exterior consists of vegetable tanned full grain leather handcrafted by artisans in Turkey. The middle layers contain discrete layers of ballistic nylon and foam for support and slash resistant protection. The interior is waterproof fabric made of recycled materials to protect from leaks and spills. Additionally, our pockets are lined with RFID protective material to protect against skimming attacks.
Where do you ship to?
We are currently only in the US and Canada. We intend to expand to international markets in the near future.
When will my bag arrive?
Our goal is to have a bag in every pledger's hand by the end of 2025 (if not sooner). The limited edition serialized bags will arrive during the holiday season (Christmas) of 2024.

We accept all payments from countries covered under Paypal's policy.
