iD.A.Y.dream

The mission of iD.A.Y.dream is to help the next generation realize their dreams by providing inspiration through building character, exploration and intervention. iD.A.Y.dream provides youth outreach services that inspires youth to dream out loud by providing community service, leadership enrichment, life skills and college readiness. We strive to be the direct positive pathway to success and offer up opportunities for youth to acquire the skills and resilience they need to survive and feel empowered. 

We’re in the midst of unprecedented times and iD.A.Y.dream is designed to create a continuum of distance learning support to help close the achievement gap during out of school time and this global emergency. This grant will assist in the development and success of the program and continue throughout the upcoming academic year by using additional funds for curriculum, materials, local workshops, purchase computers devices for student usage and guest speakers. These workshops will be incorporated into the folds of the education that the students receive, giving them strong etiquette, communication, teambuilding, and leadership skills that can be used in every facet of their lives. This grant funding will not just allow us to serve locally involved youth but globally, increase and build on our parent engagement efforts and have additional positive impacts to build our capacity in the STEM fields as well.

Programs apart of iD.A.Y.dream are all centered around youth inclusiveness. We plan events that gives youth diverse experiences and exposure to encourage them to build strategies around making sure that all voices within their community (School, Home and Extracurricular) are heard as part of inclusive decision-making. These strategies can help build various kinds of social capital. That is, they can increase the extent to which their fellow peers in a given place can turn to each other and to community based organizations (iD.A.Y.dream) for support, and the extent to which they are able to influence or control decisions that affect their lives and others. Our values: Accountability, Commitment and Leadership positions them to do as such. We aim to ignite individual passions and drive their work and efforts to the next level.
