What is Hype Her?

Hype Her disrupts traditional marketing norms for women entrepreneurs, professionals, and creatives. By leveraging a community-based approach, we provide an affordable, effective, and collaborative platform for women to find others eager to amplify their businesses, brands, and careers. Hype Her harnesses the collective power of diverse, high-performing women's networks providing members with a multiplier effect for their promotional efforts, without the hefty price tag or solitary struggle.

Members are incentivized to promote each other on external platforms (like LinkedIn, Instagram, personal blogs, etc), collecting rewards which in turn can be redeemed for a request to be promoted themselves. The gamified experience is full of activities, challenges and leaderboards that make uplifting each other fun. This creates a positive feedback loop which amplifies your success and at the same time elevates the entire community at Hype Her.

Our Male Allies who are looking to become more intentional and proactive about supporting women, are welcome to join Hype Her. Amplifying women is a very tangible, simple and effective way to increase your impact. Allies will have their own leaderboards and top Allies will receive a Hype Her Ally digital badge that can be added to a LinkedIn profile. An Ally membership will not include the ability to request to be promoted, the focus is entirely on promoting others.

What is the Problem we aim to solve?

Hundreds of thousands of women are starting businesses, working on passion projects and side hustles, creating content, and building their brands. What do all those initiatives have in common? They require marketing to attract followers and customers. However:

• Traditional marketing and advertising is expensive, and not accessible to all
• Social Media marketing is very effective, but it takes a lot of time to build your presence
• Success is tied to networking and word of mouth promotion, but many women are forging their path alone

The market opportunity is staggering:

• In 2023, 37% of women in the US have a side hustle.
• In 2023, 42% of small businesses in the United States are owned by women.
• In 2023, 77% of social media influencers were women.
• In 2022, women will have launched an average of 1,821 new enterprises every day.
• The influencer marketing industry grew to $16.4 billion USD in 2022 and is expected to grow to $21.1B in 2023.

How we plan to spend the money

100% of the money we raise will go towards paying our development team. Development is in full swing, and we are rapidly approaching our MVP (Minimal Viable Product). Help us launch this thriving and valuable community in early 2024!

We are an all-women team!

Founder and CEO: Polina Ruvinsky is a 25 year veteran of the Tech industry. Software Engineer and Technology leader, she spent most of her career in Product Engineering. She also founded and ran Women in Tech groups, and is a passionate and experienced community builder. Two years ago she left her corporate career to seek more inspiration, autonomy and creativity. Like Hype Her's target customers, Polina knows first hand what it's like to build a business on a budget. 

Development Team: Our outstanding Developers Kelly, Lisa and Eva are all graduates of the Ada Developers Academy, an organization that aims to change the face of tech by offering a cost-free coding education to women and gender expansive adults. The team is mentored by Matt McKnett, Principal Software Engineer at Butlr, Founder of Cyvaer and a true Ally.

Board of Advisors: Our dedicated Board is comprised of senior leaders in the Product and Engineering spaces. Together they bring decades of experience building and bringing technology products to market.
