- What is a Professionally Pause?
- Professionally Pause, is a platform created to 'Empower, Enable, and Lead' professionals into workplace success through providing tips, strategies and services to strengthen the professional (Resume Writing, Interviewing/Network coaching, workshops supporting workforce/interview/job readiness)
- How Will the Program Work? What Will You Offer?
- We'll utilize the Professionally Pause proven method to provide career development and coaching, workforce training, and mentorship through a Spring and Fall Cohort, which will consist of a week long bootcamp where participants will receive one on one career planning and coaching, a resume, interviewing preparation, group sessions, training webinars, and additional workforce readiness tools and resources.
- What is the Criteria?
- Participants will fill out an application and move through an interview process to be selected. The selection criteria is focused on womxn of color who are unemployed or have limited funding and access to resources that would aid in obtaining employment and workforce development training.

- Employment statistics for women of color were not only more severe when the Covid-19 pandemic began, but are more sluggish in improving.
- For white workers, the unemployment rate fell to 5.6% in February. But for Black and Hispanic workers, reported jobless rates were 9.9% and 8.5%, respectively.
- But as stark as the race- and ethnicity-based disparities are, the recession’s unequal impact is more pronounced in analysis that includes both race and gender.
- Employment for Black women is 9.7% lower than it was in February 2020. Employment for white men, white women, and Black men is down 5%, 5.4% and 5.9%, respectively.
