All About Good Thoughts

Good Thoughts Tea Company is an all natural loose leaf tea brand centered around the healing properties of herbs. We craft hand blended loose leaf teas and well being products that marries good taste and natural healing. Our main goal is to help heal from the inside out all while reawakening the conversation and experience of tea. We do so by incorporating storytelling and ancestral rituals which creates a personal curated journey for every individual.

What We’re Solving

Good Thoughts is here to shift the narrative that self-care goes beyond the cup.Too often, people associate self-care and wellness with products or services that are external only. Tea is seen as one of those things and typically, tea bags are used to create the 'self-care experience'. While that is a part of it, self care and preservation goes so much deeper.    

We want to continuously create experiences around our products to not only enjoy but to get to know yourself through primal herbs and tools used by ancestors that have come before us. Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world. Our goal is to make your internal self-preservation journey as accessible and affordable as possible without compromising quality.

What We’re Seeking

Good Thoughts has been around for seven years and has seen an immense amount of growth. And now, it’s time for us to expand in even more ways. We currently have what we call our retail studio located in Boxville in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago. This has served as a wonderful launching pad for our growth. 

We are raising $10,000 to expand our product line and to bring more curated tea experiences to the world. Your support will help us in the following ways: 

 + get more inventory to expand our stockists and product line

+ create more virtual and in person experiences

+ begin a transition to a new space

Meet the Founder

I’m Eboné McCloud, the owner + creator of Good Thoughts. As a certified Reiki practitioner and Akashic Records Reader, I have spent several years creating sacred experiences for women of color, specifically black women, by way of tea and spiritual services. 

I started Good Thoughts because I was fascinated by the way my grandmother made sweet tea when I was a little girl. I was so amazed at how a couple of tea bags could  create such brown goodness. I was hooked. Later on, I embarked on a spiritual journey that led me to wanting to offer parts of my energy to the world, thus the tea company was born.
