What is the mission of your company or project?

Good Body is on a mission to provide those suffering from a chronic illness or other physiological conditions with a more guided approach to living a healthier life. By curating top-rated products, supplements, and foods that are hand-picked by health coaches we aim to be a trusted partner in a person’s journey to finding better health.

Describe the problem you are solving.

Currently, if you suffer from a chronic condition or caring for someone with one, you will need to source food, supplements, and products that help alleviate symptoms from 3 or more different places. It's fragmented and overwhelming when attempting to research and make the right choices on your own. The Good Body box is aimed at curating the right foods, supplements, and products in order to help those in need feel empowered to take control of their health. The contents of each box are designed by a licensed professional who specializes in a specific condition. This will help consumers have the trust, confidence, and education needed to start feeling better. There is no brand in existence that curates based on condition and is backed by a health professional, certified in the specific condition.

What is the market size/opportunity?

The global medical foods market size was valued at USD 21.2 billion in 2021 and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.2% from 2022 to 2030. Although we cannot classify Good Body as medically tailored food, we are meeting a similar demand. Others in this space, BistroMD, and ModifyHealth have begun to tap into this but currently offer perishable foods whereas GoodBody is more integrated offering foods, products, and supplements.

What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? 

GoodBody brings together a community of certified health coaches who advise and vote on the products, foods, and supplements that specifically support a condition. Members are then able to opt-in and receive a monthly/bi-monthly or quarterly supply of goods that are best suited for their specific condition. There are a few things here that are worth noting. One, we are solving a consumer-driven health problem by providing curated goods to those suffering from a specific condition, which does not currently exist in the market. And two, we are providing growth opportunities for health coaches. By participating in Good Body, coaches earn a share of the profit of each box they help curate.

Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

I am seeking funding to help with our pilot program launching this fall. We hope to release 250 ADHD boxes, gain valuable feedback from our members and coaches and gain the traction we need to launch the 2nd box in later fall for Inflammation. We are looking for anywhere between 10k-50k to purchase goods, build out an online ordering and review platform and market the product effectively. I am looking to onboard 2-3 contractors for roles in marketing, partnership management, and web development.

Who is on your team?

So far, I am the sole member of this team. I have just onboarded 2 health coaches who will join as part of our coaches club and I have a goal set to onboard 18 more before the launch of our ADHD box this fall.

I want to thank you for any support given to this initiative. I consider myself a highly driven person who thrives on making an impact. I have received an immense amount of support and positivity and know we are tapping into something major that will not only help people but perhaps solve a larger more global issue as it relates to chronic illnesses.
