The Get Right Barber and Beauty Salon was established on March 13, 2017 with the intention of becoming a community resource and creative arts center. We service a multicultural range of clients for hair services from men's barbering cuts to ladies weaves. The Get Right is also an art gallery with pieces for sale and consignment space, as well as,a place to host community functions. The team consists of 1 full-time owner-operator, and is currently seeking to employ a barber/stylist, a tattoo artist and a massage therapist.
At this time; the entire operation is ran by, myself. The purpose of creating the ifundwomen campaign is because the landowner has gotten up in age and is unable to fix various issues that exist with the property. As a result: the landowner has decided to sell the 3 buildings, including the salon. Although the land owner has been generous enough to state that he, "wrote it the sales agreement that the salon can stay on the property as long as it needs to." Should someone decide to purchase the land, I have no legal right to stay. Hence; the main purpose of this proposal: the three commercial buildings that are included in this property consist of a party hall (building C) in the rear, a small storefront (building B) located beside the Get Right, and the salon space (building A). Outside of operating the salon I plan to put a sandwich, soup and smoothie shop (building B- The Soup Spot) inside of the smaller space. The Soup Spot will also be used as a community soup kitchen to feed the homeless and misplaced veterans on specific days and I will continue to use the rental space as such for free and paid community functions.
It is with these intentions that I have decided to create this campaign. I would, honestly, rather buy the property so that the idea of the community focal center and all may come to fruition. The location of the property is ideal for such a venture and the landowner's asking price is, currently, $225,000 which is where the funds will be allocated.
