Future Founders Equity Campaign

The mission of The Nascent Group is to radically change the way businesses use entrepreneurship to create reciprocity within the communities they reside within!  By creating more thoughtful business models that weigh bottom line equally with investment into human life as well as providing opportunity and access to entrepreneurship through mentorship of emerging and hopeful minority entrepreneurs.  

The Nascent Group addresses the disproportionate number of female and minority business owners and entrepreneurs within the marketplace.  We think we can change this, one dream at a time!  We also believe  and have proven through successful business models that business can be sued as a force for good, helping to celebrate the stories of locals makers and vendors growing communities as businesses grow.  

According to the 2019 Annual Business Survey (ABS), covering reference year 2018, approximately 18.3% (1.0 million) of all U.S. businesses were minority-owned and about 19.9% (1.1 million) of all businesses were owned by women.  We want to close this gap starting with mentorship of youth entrepreneurs as well working on one one with seed ideas.  We work one on one with minority business owners in every stage of business to not only help develop ideas, but also to create business plans, seek investors, gain bank confidence and integrate the use of local goods.  Our styles are adaptable to the environment in which our participants have come from to create relatable weekly working plans and success stories!

We are seeking funding to support our operations! We have successfully helped to launch and enrich businesses in several states including our most recent project , Bronzeville Winery, which has been supported by Mayor Lori Lightfoot as well as will act as an incubator for minority hospitality professionals on  the South Side of Chicago.

Our team is awesome and made of of contributors from every walk of life so that we can better service every client who might come to the table! From the tech savvy and social media influencer to amazing projects managers and creative writers, our team is able to take on any task and offer insights from ranging shared life experience! While we excel at what we are doing, we are stretched thin and funds received will go towards additional staffing and training to help us to meet the demand. We currently have a wait list which is stunting our ability to make impact!
