Project Description

Introducing consumable medical products with global healthcare and the environment in mind. Designed by a three-time, twenty-five-year cancer survivor with 15 years of experience in industrial design. The long term effects of my treatments led to DYSPHAGIA, the inability to swallow. Offering feeding tubes for patients, and caregivers to enjoy the most basic of human needs: nutrition.

Dysphagia affects 1 in 25 people in their lifetimes with an annual growth rate of 6.8%*. Enternal feed patients spend up to 14 hours per day connected to a feeding tube. According to Stanford Healthcare, one of the most common complications with tube feeding is 'obstruction' causing interruptions to the patient's feed. Feed Bag Co. offers an updated feedbag that does not interrupt the feed. Our products allow non-formula food to enter the enternal feed, or directly into the stomach of dysphagia patients. Patients can consume nourishment instead of formula for a balanced diet.

2019: Hospitals held the highest market share with the North American segment holding the largest market share. Due to a high adoption of enteral feeding devices*:

  • Among the aging population
  • Increasing prevalence of chronic diseases
  • Shift from parenteral to enteral feeding
  • The development of innovative products
