Who said that wreaths are only for the Christmas holiday? Welcome to the world of wreaths! A world where there is a wreath for every season, holiday, and special occasion.
The word “wreath” tends to bring an automatic thoughts of Christmas. But if you drive around your neighborhood, you will notice that many homes have beautiful wreaths on their doors all year round! Be one of those homes. Celebrate holidays, big events, and your interests with a wreath!
Details make a difference! You will soon start to notice the homes with the wreaths on their doors. They just look like “there is something different” about them.
Who is Event Craft Studio Seasonal Wreaths and Holiday Décor?
My name is Liliana Perez and I am the owner of Event Craft Studio, Seasonal Wreaths and Holiday Décor. I make unique and custom wreaths for all seasons of the year. I am raising funds so that I am able to increase my inventory and support the demand for my wreaths.
You are so creative! Can you please help me?
That’s how it all got started. Every year I would change the color/theme of my Christmas decorations. The tree décor would always have a matching wreath. But this only happened once a year! I started decorating the cubes at work and the vestibule at home during all holidays, not just Christmas. Eventually friends and family started asking for help!
The demand for wreaths is real! But like any fashion business, you have to prepare ahead of the season. Haven’t you noticed how in August you already see Halloween costumes? Those costumes were already in production months in advance.
The same game goes for the wreath world. A Halloween and Harvest wreaths should be created and listed by August. Christmas wreaths should be created in September, Spring wreaths in December, and the list goes on and on.
I’ve excitedly worked on a wreath during the actual season only to have it not sell because I’m a season behind! My potential customers already have their wreaths.
The solution would be to create wreaths and increase inventories the season before! The solution can be very expensive since supplies don’t go on sale until the actual season has arrived; i.e., Christmas supplies go on sale during or after Christmas.
The cost of materials such as: grapevine base, ribbon, flowers, and signs, for 21” grapevine wreath can be $35-$75, sometimes more! This does not even include mechanics such as glue, wire and staples. A store should have a minimum 50 wreaths in stock at all times. It costs anywhere from $1,750-$3,750 to create a 50 wreaths for the store inventory!
Don’t forget storage!
I make them, tag them and bag them. However, they must stored properly before they get purchased to ensure they are in great condition when they reach their new home. A small storage unit costs more than $600 per year!
How you can help
You can support Event Craft Studio by helping me grow my business by increasing the store inventory in a timely fashion! Increasing supply inventory will allow me to create products in advance of the seasonal demand.
