Project Description
First Annual Elest African American Art Gallery
We have partnered with IHeartMedia to run all of our marketing, PR, EAAAG Ambassador and Events for this project.
Elest African American Art Gallery is a popup Art Gallery that will be open from February 01 - 26, 2022 to celebrate and feature Black Artists, Creators and Businesses across the country.
We will feature 50 Black Artists each week starting every Monday and ending the Exhibit that following Friday. Each Saturday we will have an Event celebrating those Artists whose Art pieces were featured for that week before. The Art pieces will be packed up for pickup or delivery to the buyers on Sundays. We will feature a total of 200 Black Artists over the month of February 2022.
Tuesdays thru Fridays we will be showing short films created by 16 Black film creators during tours of our Exhibits daily from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.
February 27th, 2022 we will be hosting a Gala to celebrate the end of our month-long celebration to our community of creators.
We know that February is Black History Month, what we are looking to do is to also showcase the future of Black People. To step out of the past and to showcase the beauty of our future by honoring Black Artists, Short Film Creators, Poets, Inspirational Speakers and businesses.
EAAAG will take the money that we raise to showcase our Artists in the best light possible by hiring Curators to create unique Exhibits each week to help the success of the gallery throughout the month of February 2022.
We will be able to invite schools to brought their students for tours of the Exhibits & to watch the short films created by African American Creators.
We will be able to have a gift shop that will offer products made by African American Business Owners.

- Why hold the Exhibits in the month of February? February is Black History Month and we would like to show more of Black present and future so that our community can see that the individuals who made our history did not do so in vain.
- Where are we going to host our month-long Art Gallery? Caelum Gallery 508-526 W 26 St New York, NY 10001 we will have the space from Feb 01-28, 2022
- What will the Artists receive when registering with our Exhibits? Artists will receive a space in one of our Exhibits for a week. They will be advertised on all of our media platforms. Their work can be purchased by a buyer and we will pack it at the end of the week of the Exhibit to be picked up or delivered to the buyer. The Artists will receive 80% of the commission and the gallery will keep 20%.
- What will a Short Film Creator receive when registering with our Exhibits? We will be accepting 16 Short Film Creators. Films must be less than 30 minutes. Each short film will be shown for one day during Exhibits tours from 10:30am to 3:30pm. The short film will be shown every hour. They will be advertised on all of our media platforms.
- Who will our audience be? We will be inviting schools to come tour our Exhibitions, open to the public and we will offer private tours.
