Who Are We?

Drip Sweat is NYC's newest fitness studio and juice bar located in Washington Heights. We offer various classes such as Total Body, HIIT, Yoga, Boxing, Zumba, and even Kickboxing! At our juice bar, you can enjoy a cold pressed juice, a delicious smoothie, as well as detox cleanses.

Our Story!

Founded in 2019 by Janice Rodriguez, she had a dream to transform her community through fitness. Janice became the first women, minority, LGBTQ+ owned fitness studio in Upper Manhattan. Born and raised in the Washington Heights neighborhood, she realized the importance of health and fitness awareness needed in a neighborhood known for growing high obesity rates. Janice wanted to create a welcoming space, where the community can come together and achieve their fitness goals, enjoy a healthy juice, and connect with other members of the community. She left her corporate 9-5 career, to work towards a positive change and impact in her hometown.

Drip Sweat was scheduled for its grand opening in March 2020, the same week all businesses were forced to shut down due to Covid-19. Adapting quickly to mandatory changes, Drip Sweat offered free virtual classes for the community to stay active during quarantine. After being closed for 8 months, Drip Sweat finally opened their juice bar and eventually, socially distanced classes.  Our amazing community continues to be very supportive during these times.

With the contributions of collaborative partners, family, friends, and the community we hope to raise adequate funds to:

• Expand our team, services, and keep current employees on payroll
• Recuperate months of backed up expenses
• Begin youth programming
• Secure our fitness studio space 

Our Staff!

Drip Sweat currently employs 10 passionate, empowering, and driven employees. Our fitness instructors bring the most amazing energy to each and every class, and ensure members feel welcomed and guided through their fitness journey. Most of our instructors are from the Washington Heights neighborhood, and share the same vision to bring about a positive change to our community.
