Our mission is to provide a natural hair suppressant to women and men that suffer from unwanted embarrassing facial and body hair helping them regain self-confidence.
Délavé will offer the first biotechnology-derived 100% plant-based cosmeceutical hair suppressant solution to unwanted facial hair growth in a subscription type service. Using only high-quality natural ingredients with no harsh supplements, our formulation provides a better alternative and convenience to the traditional hair removal options on the market but with better results and without the risk of damaging the skin.
3 million-plus women, annually, suffering from unwanted hair pay upwards of $120,000 and countless hours on procedures to eliminate this problem, whether professional or home remedy.
About nine in 10 women are suffering from hirsutism, unwanted male-pattern hair growth on a woman's face, chest, and back. Semi-permanent to permanent, high-quality hair removal products are in heavy demand for women across the world. Every year thousands of dollars are spent on hair removal procedures with hopes that these investments will solve a problem that haunts these individuals every day. For all of the demand, though, there are only a handful of hair removal products on the market, and none of them specialize in naturally suppressing the hair at the follicles, despite the clear need in this area.
Lack of natural hair suppressants is also a common complaint from the transgender community across the country, especially those who are transiting from female to male as well as male to female looking for a natural way to stop facial and body hair from growing. We're convinced, by the market size, that there is a great market opportunity here to offer an affordable hair suppressant to those in the United States and Worldwide.
Natural element chemistry offers a superior approach to suppressing hair growth. Délavé will be the first hair suppressant biotechnology-derived 100% plant-based cosmeceutical line. Délavé will rely on microscopic technology to manipulate plant-based molecules that will help suppress the sebaceous gland stopping the protein development in the hair follicle.
Crowdfunding gives the opportunity to have your community rally behind you. Traditional business loans don't allow for the flexibility we need as entrepreneurs to build without having to pay monies back immediately when the business has yet to start making revenue. iFundWomen gives brands like ours the chance to raise funding while giving back to the female-entrepreneurs in the network.
We're seeking funding in the sum of $20,000 to help accelerate the formulation & development process, testing, production & packaging, and marketing.

Our founder, LaToya Dixson, has a strong passion for Délavé Hair Suppressant as she deals with the issues of unwanted facial hair personally. She's spent thousands of dollars on expensive hair removal solutions and products that have not helped remedy the problem. Tweezing her unwanted hair has become a normal part of her daily beauty maintenance routine; taking minutes to hours of useful time away from her productive day. She knows first-hand how it feels to deal with embarrassing unwanted hair that's affected her self-esteem over the years. LaToya is committed to bringing a solution for hirsutism to the masses in the most natural formulation available through the Délavé Hair Suppressant brand.
The business is the brainchild of LaToya F. Dixson. She the creator of the brand Délavé. LaToya holds her MBA degree in marketing from Strayer University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Alabama State University. With over 17 years of marketing and consumer branding experience in the network television and radio broadcasting industries, she's launched a small branding consulting firm as well as a successful beauty hair extension brand. She also has strong business and organizational skills. With almost a decade of owning and operating beauty hair brand I Heart Hair, having previous locations in Atlanta, Georgia, Jacksonville, Florida, and Montgomery, Alabama, LaToya Dixson has not only managed physical locations, she has managed a seven-figure online store as well as small staff of maximum ten employees and three location managers.
LaToya is also a motivational speaker and marketing professor.
