Isla Mudra, Skincare for your Sol, is a line of sustainable self-care products made by hand locally in Puerto Rico. Specifically designed for island life and endless summers, Isla Mudra uses the highest quality natural botanicals to bring balance and wellbeing to all skin types in the tropics.

~ Our Mission ~

We would now like to launch our full facial range of products with the concept of using fresh fruit extracts from the island, grown by small scale farms ~ De La Finca a La Cara (from farm to face).

This line of products features beautiful natural colors and fragrances of these exotic tropical botanicals, all grown with love and care on the island, as well as high performance nutrients for the skin.

~ The Problem we're Solving ~

Many of the fruits we are using grow in abundance on the island, so much so that much of it goes to waste. We have been experimenting with in-house extraction methods for the last year, and we are ready to take this concept to the next level. Through these artisan extraction methods, we will be able to preserve much of this excess fruit into botanical extracts for our skincare formulations, making more of the crop usable and cutting down on food waste. This also provides maximum sales potentials to our growers, providing us with the fruit at peak ripeness without having to worry about product spoilage. So many tropical fruits ~ from papaya to guava to guanabana ~ are considered super fruits. These nutrient dense botanicals are exceptional ingredients for skincare. We want to create a supply chain within the island where everyone wins!

~ Our Market Size and Opportunity ~

We currently only supply our produces to the island of Puerto Rico through wholesale channels, but sales can be made online internationally. Though we feel we have plenty of marketing and sales opportunities within the island, we are open to considering other markets. As it is right now, we know the demand for these products on the island, with a standing population nearly 3.2 million and even more than that in tourism every year, is very high. While sales to Puerto Rico are our number one focus, other islands and sustainable vendors will be a good fit for us as wholesale channels as we grow this line.

~ Why are we Crowd Funding ~

With this campaign, we will be able to achieve so much! We will be setting up a state of the art lab with professional formulation equipment and immaculate GMP. We will be creating our own supply chain within the island partnering with farms. We will be refining our fresh fruit extraction methods, incorporating them into high performance skincare formulations. Our products will be tested through external labs, and be certified efficacious and safe before releasing them to market. And finally we will launch the line to our select retailers and online sales channels!

How do we know all of this possible?! We have already created the test extracts we plan to use, the base formulations of the products, and established relationships with several farms around Puerto Rico! The only thing holding us back is funding. We need funds for more advanced equipment to streamline our production process. To be able to make bulk purchase of our ingredients and our sustainable packaging. To test the safety and efficacy of each formulation in external labs. And to take things a step further and implement a sanitation and recycling system for our glass bottles, cutting down on packaging waste on the island. With your help, we can make all of this possible!
