These Are The Children That Are Overlooked & Forgotten. Fallen Through The Huge Gaps In Our Society. Left To Navigate This World From The Eyes Of A Damaged Child. We Must Bring A Spotlight To This System. Speaking To The Devastating Parallel Effects Of Foster Care During, As Well As After.

Your Contributions Will Assist Us With The Creation Of A Healing Center & Safe Space For These Young Adults During Their Transition. Housing, Food & Clothing, Counseling, Mentorship, As Well As Life Skills That Are Needed To Thrive In Society. A Place Where They Can Be Nurtured And Feel Something That They've Never Felt Before. The World Desperately Needs The Devine Feminine Energy To Stand Up Now & Mother The Planet. We Believe That We Are Worthy, We Are Worth It & We Are Enough!!!

The Foster Care System Disproportionately Affects Black Children: (Just Some Food For Thought.)

Black Children Make Up Almost 14% Of The Population Of Children In the United States, But 23% Of Those In Foster Care. This Is Based On A Report From The US Department Of Health And Human Services, (The AFCARS Report).

Once Those Children Turn 18, They Are Put Out On Their Own. They Are Handed Their Paperwork, Their Birth Certificates, Their File, etc. Then Sent Into The World Without Housing, No Direction, No Assistance & No Guidance For A Successful Future. They Are No Longer The States Problem.

Now Faced With This Extremely Disheartening Truth. Nearly 1/2 Of Foster Children In The US Become Homeless When They Reach The Age Of 18, & The Poverty Rate Is 3x's Higher Among Fosters Than The General Population. The 18th. Birthday Is Where This System Ends And New Systems Begin.

Basically, Thrown Out In A World With No Resources To Start. Many Fall Victim To The Trafficking Problem That We Face Today In Our Society. With No Where To Go And From A System With Zero Accountability, Many End Up In These Unfortunate Situations. Forced To Commit Crimes Or Sell Themselves Just To Survive. Taking Them From The Foster System To The Prison System. From One Abusive Situation To Another.

None Of These Systems Were Initially Set Up For The Well Being Of A Child, Especially Our Children. One Third Of Foster Children In A US Study Reports Many Forms Of Abuse From Foster Parents And/Or Other Adults In The Foster Home. By Their 18th. Birthday, Abuse Is All That They've Known And All That They Know. We Also Find That Some Will Intentionally Commit Crimes Just To Go To Jail. This Way They Will Be Able To Eat & Have A Place To Lay Their Heads.

The Systems...

The School Systems, The Foster Care System, The Mental Health Systems, The Medical System And Definitely The Prison Systems. These Systems Have Most Of Us In This Country Dealing With Or Recovering From Some Form Of Trauma. From Childhood, Through Adulthood, Till Death.

Many Who've Grown Up In Foster Care Have Suffered Tremendous & Horrific Emotional Damage. Dealing With Abandonment Issue's, The Feelings Of Being Thrown Away & Unwanted. Many Who Have Aged Out Have Been In At least 5 Or More Foster Homes Or Group Homes During Their Time In This System. Dealing With Internal Mental, Physical, Emotional Issues, As Well As Heinous Sexual Traumas. This System Was Not Meant To Nurture Or Heal Children. It Was Put In Place To Simply House Them. No Love, No Care & Very Little Direction. Black Boys & Black Girls Alike! It Makes No Difference To The System. Now, Ask Yourself The Question Again.

What's Wrong With People In Society Of Today???? TRAUMA.....

Through Our Efforts & Partnership With The Salvation Army's Assistance Program. We Have Become A Source & A Safe Haven For A Homeless Mother. Providing Safe & Secure Housing While They Are Working Through The Program. Keeping Their Children Together With Them As A Family In A Safe Environment. Preventing Another Black Child From Being Taken From Their Family & Tossed In This System Of Foster Care Due To A Homelessness Situation. 

This System That Is So Unapologetic To Those Who Have Suffered Through It And Barely Survived It. The Sad Truth Is That Most Melanated Children Are Placed In Foster Care Not From Abuse. Thay Are Placed Into This System Due To Poverty. Being Justified Under The Guise Of Neglect.

 No One Should Have Their Children Taken Away Because They Are Poor. This In Itself Is A Shameful Tragedy That Many Melanated Families Are Faced With On A Daily Basis In America.

We All Have To Play A Part In The Change If We Want To See A Brighter Future For Humanity... We Are Asking You To Be A Part Of The Change That You Want To See.

AGAIN.. Our Passion & Documentary Is Bringing Awareness To Those Children Who Are Now About To Age Out Or Have Been Emancipated From The System. 16. 17, & 18 Yrs. Of Age. These Are The Children That Are Overlooked & Forgotten About. Left To Navigate This World From The Eyes Of A Damaged Child. Now Damaged Adults. We Must Shine A Spotlight On This System Of Foster Care And The Aging Out Process. We All Can Heal The World & Heal Humanity By Simply Realizing, Admitting, & Understanding That Trauma Is Real & It Affects Us All.
