Co-Founded + Co-Owned by Cierra Laub + Chaz Rowlan. Conscious Eateery's mission statement: Quality ingredients + mindful solutions to ending hunger. Since conception, 2016, Conscious Eatery has donated 89,458+ meals to those who need it most. Even during a 14 month closure for COVID-19 Conscious Eatery maintained their donation program with their non-profit partners. Each month Conscious Eatery gives back an average of 1,200 locally sourced, fresh, culturally relevant meals to clients of food banks and non-profits throughout the city. The Conscious eatery team, or conscious crew as they call themselves, is small but mighty. Consisting of a very diverse team. From family members to old co-workers in the industry- conscious eatery continues to hire folks whose values align with the values of conscious eatery. a little bit about the founders, Cierra Laub + Chaz Rowlan met back in 2009, at another PNW restaurant. they remained co-workers + good friends until falling in love over philanthropy in 2015. they both grew up without much privilege. Cierra, grew up in Tucson Arizona + Chaz, grew up in Federal Way Washington. Both of thier families have struggled with addiction, systemic poverty + homelessness. In 2019, Cierra Laub was named one of the 30 Under 30 most inspiring young entrepreneurs in the 425 Business Magazine. Cierra has spoken on behalf of Food Lifeline, regarding food insecurity in America multiple times. She's even been a key note speaker at Ankrom Moisan's Food Frenzy Fundraiser, with over $250,000 raised; which equates to nearly 1,000,000 meals for hungry children + family. conscious eatery sends Thanks to all of their backers, who are making it so much easier for the conscious crew to focus on their mission of Fighting Hunger Together during this tough time. they will use the contribution to help aid our growth and brand recognition. Currently, conscious eatery is in need of installing contactless and socially distant areas for the team to work, and deliver food. conscious eatery would also like to make the work conditions and spaces more efficient for their team members.
