There is a growing need for more black owned beauty supply stores to close the gap between dollars being spent and ownership, there is also a need as more black consumers are wanting to shop with companies who can identify with them. The problem we are facing today is that most beauty supply stores can't relate, they are not able to properly educate black consumers on products, process or technique. So what happens? Consumers are left on their own to make important purchasing decisions, end up wasting a lot of money on products, or returning them and having a bad customer experience.

BPolished will be a safe haven for our customers. Our customers will be serviced by a knowledgable, yet professional staff, who will be able to provide tips for healthy hair care, speak to the products in the store, and offer product recommendations. Ultimately, our customers will be able to shop in an environment that understands their personal hair care needs. The beautiful thing about shopping at BPolished is that we are our own customer! BPolished is totally customer-focused and we are building real relationships with our customers by providing them an unapparelled shopping experience.

BPolished Beauty Supply primary customers are African-American however we will meet the needs of all residents in the community by diversifying our product mix. BPolished Beauty Supply will focus on creating a one-stop, full service shopping experience for the consumer market in Dallas / Ft. Worth Metroplex with products and equipment from various lines; available as maintenance products for consumer sales to men, women and children.

I am the epitome of Founder / Market Fit. I'm a black woman, who in the past has struggled with finding quality products that fitted my needs. I remember what it was like to spend hundreds of dollars on products, only to have them sitting in my cabinets because they didn't work. I've worked at one of the biggest Beauty Supply Stores in the US, Sally's Beauty. I've read books like The Science of Black Hair, and Curly Girl Handbook to educate myself on all the aspects of healthy hair. I have developed key relationships with major manufacturers that service the black consumer, but most importantly I have lived it! I am part of the $54 million dollar consumer spend.

I am raising money through IFW to have capital to grow my new retail store. The funds will go towards ongoing inventory, salaries, rent, and not going into debt funding my new business.
