Hi!
I'm Amanda, Chef Owner and Operator of Crust by Mack. I am a proud native of Baltimore, and for nearly a decade I’ve worked in service of my community by being a vehicle for change in food justice and nutrition education.
In less than a year from now, I plan to open a bakery that will offer fresh, from scratch seasonally inspired dishes while changing the narrative around access and business in Baltimore.

At Crust we believe that food has birthplace. Every recipe has a story and each ingredient we use is clean, fresh and local when possible. We bake our goods before sunrise, with fresh brown eggs. Our produce is harvested by farmers we know on a first name basis. Our milk is organic, from grass fed cows 100 miles up the road.
At Crust, experience the joy of food made from hands instead of machines.
A place where our story, becomes part of yours.

A Bakery Built on Entrepreneurial Equity
Because access bridges the gap toward equity, we understand that every business may not be created equally. Growing up in a low income community, I saw first hand how poverty affected the resources available to me in my community. By the time I got to college, I learned that students who grew up in more affluent neighborhoods had access to 70% more education related resources, mentorships and funding opportunities.
Crust is committed to providing entrepreneurs, especially those of color, with access to the tools they need to create an equitable and sustainable businesses. From conception, we built our bakery as a resource to our community. Our Bakery is open for service Thursday through Sunday. During the days that we are closed, we open our doors to entrepreneurs and small businesses for collaborations and invite startup brands to participate in programming designed to strengthen and sustain their businesses from the inside out.
Attendees will receive valuable tips, strategies and motivation from our Speaker Series with industry pro’s that cover; branding, marketing & social media. Our workshops offer a hands on approach to business from the mind of a creative entrepreneur.
Our staff, who are authentic, goal driven, compassionate individuals, are offered a living wage, because we understand that working for someone else does not mean putting your dreams on hold.
At Crust it is important that when we rise, it’s together for all.
