How does my donations contribute to DBD’s efforts to shine light on BIPOC dreamwork?
This June marks the 40th annual conference of the International Association for the Study of Dreams. This conference presents a unique opportunity to engage with thought leaders at the forefront of the dream work field. Unfortunately, for many dream workers and researchers who hail from BIPOC communities, mobilizing the funds to attend in person remains a visceral challenge. Your donations will cover costs for the participation of BIPOC dreamworkers and researchers (~5 total) to attend in person and add their voices, experience, and expertise to the
What will residual funds be used for?
In December 2022, Divine By Design received an IASD grant for partial funding of our upcoming initiative entitled Trauma and the BIPOC Dream Culture. Residual funds will be used to cover operational costs and preparations for this dynamic and groundbreaking work to support the holistic wellness of our communities.
What is BIPOC dreamwork?
BIPOC dreamwork describes dream work practices, research, experiences, and initiatives which center on the experiences of BIPOC individuals as well as those who have been historically marginalized or colonized persons
What conference costs will be covered by funds raised?
Funds raised will be used to cover registration fees and associated travel costs (i.e. lodging, foods, airfare, and incidentals.) for in person conference attendance.
